@ccpatzer saidThe actor's German I think but the character is Ukranian.
I did not know Drago was Ukrainian.
You ever see stray dogs in the Ukraine? They go for days without food. People spit on them, they are nothing. No home. Only will to survive... to fight.
Actually Wikipedia says he's from Moscow IDK

Interestingly:
"He has been awarded his Third Degree Black Belt by the World Karate Organization in Tokyo. His accomplishments include being the Captain of the Swedish National Karate Team, as well as a Champion of the Swedish, European and Australian Heavyweight Division titles. Lundgren still regularly performs Karate exhibitions at international tournaments worldwide."

@athousandyoung saidI did some follow up reading on the issue today.
Not necessarily. Withdrawing is a standard tactic for north Asian armies, whether tactically Mongol style or strategically scorched Earth Russian style. If the Russians flattened the area they might not feel any need to occupy it.
Kremlin TV Airs Call for Russia to Admit ‘Serious Defeat’
Brutal realizations have been raining upon the Kremlin’s top propagandists—and when it rains, it pours. The same pundits who used to threaten NATO countries with nuclear strikes are begrudgingly acknowledging that Russia’s Armed Forces have suffered a series of humiliating setbacks in Ukraine.
Appearing on Russia’s NTV show The Meeting Place on Monday, policy analyst Viktor Olevich surmised: “Unfortunately, the situation is difficult. Can we say that the Russian forces moved closer to meeting the goals and carrying out the tasks set by the president at the beginning of the special operation—or did they get further away? Obviously, we’re now further away.”

@kevcvs57 saidThe 'military operation' has evidently not gone as planned for the Russians. Ukraine hasn't turned the corner, but they have shown that they are able to make Russia pay a higher price than the Russians are prepared to pay to secure a unilateral victory. I think Putin overestimated his own forces' fighting coherence and underestimated Ukraine's resilience. Proof that resistance is not futile.
I hope so, I hope it’s not a Russian feint to create a Ukrainian bubble that they later cut off at the neck and annihilate.
From some reports it sounds like a rout in places and it’s ordinary Russian soldiers voting against the war with their feet.
Perhaps it has been a massive miscalculation on Putin’s part 🤞
