This is a question for everyone, of course, but particularly to
@Sonhouse who has been most prominent and making the accusation
of same for a long time now, despite the evidences to the contrary.
Sincere Question:
If Putin is interested in keeping his puppet in the white house, Trump,
shouldn't Putin do everything to help Trump get re-elected? Makes sense.
So why doesn't Russia "offer" its vaccine to the SARS-CoV-2 virus
to the US, to which, Trump would accept, and spend untold $$Billions
on the vax and make Russia and Putin very rich?
Now, isn't this what a puppet should do for his master?? And yet,
who in America could see any wrongdoing to such a plan - except
maybe the cost. But who would care if it worked? And Trump would
roll on to victory! What a plan.
Then, Putin can dump some of the spoils over to Trump <wink> and
they both can be filthy rich. Sound like a plan???
Ok, Dems. How does your theory of Trump being Putin's puppet hold up?
Good luck.
@Earl-of-Trumps
You seem to forget this is more than about money and who gets it.
POLITICAL POWER is what Putin is after and stupid deals like their vaccine are just that, STUPID.
It hasn't yet even shown to be effective and indeed might just be a marketing ploy for the stupid. But Trump could fall for it for sure.
So much for his super intelligence he claims to have.
I would not put it past Trump to fall for the gambit.
But first there is that minor bump for Trump come November. If he loses, the country will START on the road to redemption, it will take YEARS to recover from the criminality of Trump.
If he wins, the road to redemption will be DECADES long before the US becomes a real world power again. As it stands right now the US is the laughing stock of the world.
If by some 'SHUDDER' reason he gets re-elected the US will be on a downward spiral it may never recover from in terms of being an actual world power, China takes over that function and the US turns into another Brazil with Russia clambering to get back Alaska.
Do you seriously think this is just about dems V repubs? There is a LOT more at stake than just political power inside the US.
We CAN screw up completely and are well on the way to that end with Trump in the WH.

Anyway, we don't have to worry about that; "herd mentality" will cure COVID long before a vaccine. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2020/09/trump-covid-pandemic-will-go-away-due-to-herd-mentality.html

Let's say $8billion.
5% of Russia's official GDP
That's hardly making them "very rich" is it?
(About $50 per person)
@earl-of-trumps saidPutin's vaccine hasn't been approved by any international bodies for use.

Also, after Trump claiming the virus is nothing for months and even holding rallies with no social distancing or masks being used, promoting a vaccine would possibly be counter-productive.
Also, a shocking amount of conservatives are anti-vaccination, so promoting a vaccine with such people is not only useless, but could possibly anger Trump's notoriously uneducated base.
Good try through, in defending a guy who keeps obstructing investigations into an infamous child sex-trafficker.
@earl-of-trumps saidThey're both already very rich and the vaccine probably doesn't work.

Hey, @sonhouse, Putin can't have POWER if Trump is not re-elected. Duh!
This vaccine is a bid to help keep Trump in office by ridding us of COVID.
Let's not get carried away with the term "STUPID".
@Sonhouse: It hasn't yet even shown to be effective and indeed might just be a marketing ploy for the stupid. But Trump could fall for it for sure.
The Russian vaccine has positively been shown to be effective.
I think you are losing your rationality here in an attempt to hold your theory together.
Oh, well. You lose.
@Sonhouse SNIP... If he loses, the country will START on the road to redemption, it will take YEARS to recover from the criminality of Trump.
Your above and what followed is unnecessary, unrelated pontification.
Trump wants to win, Putin wants Trump to win. The vax would HELP.
Easy as 1, 2, 3. If you were astute
@no1marauder You really think Trump asking for and receiving a vaccine from the Russians would help him get re-elected?

@earl-of-trumps saidBe careful earl your getting very AJsh lately.
Thanks for playing, y'all.
I love your typical duck, dodge, and hyde approaches.
You pose a ridiculous pro trump anti dem question and invite answers / comment, you then get a lot of reasonable common sense answers at which point to pretend no one has answered your claim.
He’s probably begged his boss not to offer him the vaccine for some or all of reasons given above.
Honest answer please. Would you take the Kremlins vaccine because I’m damn sure I wouldn’t.
The last I heard they refused to allow independent international. Experts to study its development and trials but I could be wrong about that.
@earl-of-trumps saidCould you give as a source where the vaccie#s effects have been analysed due to scientific Standards?
The rich always want to get richer, and the vaccine works.
