This video went viral, I feel sorry for the teacher, public support for the kid is making me sick. He goes off on her and all the media sheep take his words as gospel without hearing her side of the story, which she CAN'T go public with because he's a student. Her side of the story must remain behind closed doors.
Anybody that's been a high school teacher will know what I'm talking about.

That is the no child left behind packet bs. The kid is right but needs a spanking in the principals office. They should make him get a hair cut too.

He's right?
"wahhhhh wahhhh you're not entertaining me that's why I'm not learning"

He's blaming the teacher for his recalcitrance.

Looks to me like a "Legalize retroactive abortion!" poster child.

How do you know he's right? Are you in his class? Well, I asked that in jest but it sure would explain a lot.

He may or may not be right, but that was definitely the wrong way to go about it and the impression I get is he was only looking for attention.

His hair is his business.

No Child Left Behind legislation, in America he can go to High School until he's TWENTY TWO years old.
It's ridiculous but it's common, I see them all the time.
They're just as stupid at 22 as they were at 14, it does no good to keep them in school.
But that's the law.

At least in Arizona, if you don't pass the state tests, you don't graduate. You can start taking them in tenth to graduate, and then in eleventh and twelfth grades if necessary. It would make more sense to try for a GED (diploma equivalency) than to stay in high school indefinitely, but this might be an alternative program rather than a mainstream class.

Tsk, tsk.

His hair is our collective business.

Now if you are to be the good little Obama collectivist drone we all know you are, you must start acting like one.

The kid could be hiding an AK47 or a Mig in that hair.

The man (not kid) is an arrogant jerk, but if half of what he said about her teaching method is true, she doesn't appear to be a very good teacher. She also did not handle that situation very well with the "you're not welcome back" and the taunting "goodbye"s.

I taught high school for 9 years and while I never had a student grandstand like that in class, I did have kids mouth off from time to time (as every high school teacher has had). The guy acted like a jerk, but at least he appeared to be sincere in his opinions. I would have arranged to have a one on one conversation after school and I wouldn't have left that conversation until we worked out an understanding.

The guy absolutely needs to be punished, maybe a week's detention or something; but throwing him out of the class for good just makes the rest of the students see that the teacher is incapable of handling him.

Since the teacher can't respond publicly about a student we're stuck with only his side of the story, and he hardly looks like the most reliable source.

The class appears to only have a few students in it, and since Bliss is a previous drop out I'm sure it's a remedial education class for kids that have very poor skills and have failed in normal course work. When they have 4th grade reading and math skills they are put in these stand alone classes and given programmed study packets made simple enough for them to understand. It's not the teacher's fault, it's just the way it is.

Anybody that's ever taught can instantly spot Bliss for what he is, a disruptive, defiant troublemaker that never shut up and in middle school was contemptuous of any authority and never did a bit of work, then the 9th grade hit him between the eyes and he flunked out and dropped out. Now he's 18, in the 10th grade, and he wants to be treated like a college student and engaged in lively conversations in some sort of socratic dialogue because he's bored with any sort of work.

He belongs in adult ed classes, not in school with kids 3-4 years younger than him.

I'd have drop-kicked him through the classroom door.

Alternatively, I refer you to the Pantheon of Male Knowledge. There is no situation in life that cannot be answered with an example from Eastwood, DeNiro, Pacino, or Duvall. In this instance, I choose DeNiro and Casino: "I want you to take him out the back door, and I want you to use his head to open the door."

We'd be seeing boo-boo lips and a whole lot of compliance after that.
