Does this fall under; "Illegal Mexicans will take jobs Americans refuse to do?" 😉

Is 40 million not enough?

Wrong. Mexico has a skilled work force whose only "sin" is not to
speak very good English.

Americans are already learning Spanish, just like the Finns, over here,
already translated into Polish and Estonian the collective agreement
of the Metal Workers' Union.

Not kidding.

There will be even more jobs available in the US soon, once the recession hits.

At Hamill, a general machinist will start at $9 an hour, rising to $14.50 an hour after training, and going up to the mid to high twenties for senior machinists, who can earn nearly $70,000 a year.

The reason no one goes into this line of work, is because the training period lasts about 18 months. Who the hell can afford to live on $9/hr.
And of note, is that a large number of those jobs have been created by military demands. When (hopefully soon) the war ends, and our troops come home, how many of those $9/hr workers will keep thier jobs?

Yeah, those great jobs created by U.S. companies who found a better
way than hiring illegal immigrants: Exploiting them in Mexican soil!

Let me get this straight... there's a 14$ an hour difference between two people basically doing the same job?

Wow. I'm not sure how to react to that.

I'm all in favor of having the wife work also. however, who's watching the kids?
One of the ignored discussions in America, is the effect of 2 income families on education of children, childhood delinquency, divorce, just to name a few.

On another note, $9/hr is under the popverty rate for a family of 4

mmm, which political theory says an untrained apprentice can perform the same job as a 20-year master?
