If jobs go begging in the United States, it's because people would rather exhaust their unemployment benefits or go on foodstamps or welfare rather than work.
I read recently in the LA Times that there are new training programs for Mexican immigrants starting up. Companies need competent, skilled workers.

You can't? You must have too many luxuries, or you must be trying to support dependents or something. I live fairly comfortably on $15 an hour in Los Angeles.
