Hard to get my arms around these types concepts, esp when you don’t mention what our world be like had that fuel NOT been used to grow our economy.
How would I have had my daily banana from South America without trucker to get it to my kitchen counter? How, indeed.
How bout a thread on what socialists and greenies want to sacrifice....hopefully not bananas.
It's simple. The $5.2 trillion global subsidization keeps the price of gasoline down relative to actual cost. This helps economies, of course. With oil, we made huge economic and technological gains, that's for sure. There's no reason at all why, now that the tech is available, that same concept cannot be applied to other sources of energy (i.e. the sun). This has to be the way forward, since oil reserves will dry up eventually and there is strong evidence that the burning of fossil fuels changes our climate. At the very least, alt energy should be subsidized at similar levels to fossil fuels, to level the playing field. Solar is catching up rapidly in terms of efficiency and economy.

Nothings better than nuclear though, in terms of zero emissions efficiency. But that appears to be a non starter for illogical reasons.

The Sonhouse Gambit again. I agree, Trump an ass. You write about that as if it is an issue. Why dont you instead say, yeah, I saw the list of what he did in just 2020, good stuff...Or, do you think that is 'bad' stuff? Dont get you there.

You can bet he owns the plane in one way or another, or, someone is flying him around for free at his beck and call? His c ...[text shortened]... ?
I disagree, comparing the carbon jet is not at all unreasonable. You aint listening, brother.
You can bet on all sorts of things but your thread title is a lie Joe

You’ll get your sustainable banana delivered to you by an electric truck you idiot
The oil age will pass just as surely as the horse age and steam age it’s not up for debate. Fossil fuels will be priced out of the market place by new green energy sources before they are exhausted.
