Kissinger may be an evil genius, but he is a genius. Maybe you should all listen to him.

If he is still alive he is undoubtedly senile by now.
You cannot negotiate with someone who just illegally annexed big chunks of your country.

Sure you can. Mexico did it with the US after the Mexican American War.

When Hillary Clinton debated Bernie Sanders, she stated that she had Kissinger's support. Sanders jumped right on her with all the reasons Kissinger is a disgusting person. In fact, there was a good case for bringing him before the Hague for war crimes.

Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain tried to appease Hitler and look how that ended. Giving Ukraine weapons short of the nuclear variety is a cheap way for the West to halt Putin before he grabs more of Eastern Europe, which is his goal. Ukraine deservers our support.

Agreed, phranny.

Appeasing a nation snatcher has proven to be disastrous. If we don't retaliate and force Russia to fight,
they may have enough resources to attack other nations like the Baltics, the Nordic nations, etc.

Right now, Ukraine has the luxury of having many munitions donations given to them. Russia, of course,
does not have that luxury, so prolonging the war drains the Russian military of precious hardware,
which, together with 80+ thousand troops lost, makes Russia's ability to garner more land, virtually minimal.

Kissinger - and others are afraid of a nuclear option for Russia, if negotiations don't take place. In my opinion,
if Putin ever order the use of nuclear in Ukraine, he would surely face a coup. My opinion.

Ah. The age old argument that if appeasement didn’t work in one situation it won’t ever work at all.

Generally, appeasement is using diplomacy to achieve one’s goals and equally generally, it works better than violence or proxy wars.

Putin’s war, even if he had won the initial round, never had a chance of success. It was always going to drain Russia financially and at the very best lead to years of rebellion and usurpery.

Russia is not going to carry on invading countries and certainly not NATO or EU countries. Logistiacally nigh on impossible.

The Art of War tells you not to back an opponent into a corner. For good reason.

This being said, as I stated in May / June, Putin is mad as a hatter.
I presume his continuing crippling of the Ukraine infratructure is not a “last kiss goodbye and thanks for the good times”, but a prelude to second wave.

I don’t know what the Russian checks are on the use of nuclear weapons, but I hope to god they have them securely in place.

Ukraine was grabbed by the USA by coup. You have it backwards.

Your opinion has been influenced by propaganda that omits important facts like this. You are also supporting neo nazis in Ukraine so you are appeasing fascists. You think neo nazis deserve our support. It is time for you to wake up.

It is time for you to admit you have been unwittingly supporting nazis all along.
Stop the denial. The first step is to admit you have a problem.

Putin is not trying to start WW3. The USA tried to do that. Biden is still protecting those 2 people at the CIA that lied and blamed Russia for the missile that Ukraine launched. It is the Biden administration that is full of mad hatters. They are megalomaniacs risking nuclear war.

Maybe when a warmonger is warning you about nuclear war you should worry.
This is kind of like Mother Theresa telling you to pack a gun. Just because it sounds out of character doesn't mean you shouldn't take the advice seriously. In fact, that is all the more reason you should take it seriously.

The parallels are so blatant that it would take a Herculean level of denial to ignore them but some here still manage to.

It takes a remarkably high level of paranoia + historical ignorance to keep making the "Putin=Hitler" argument.
