Believe me when I say I was not drawn to this thread, I have read nothing, because a person's ownerships, investments, etc are of no concern to me. Go for it, Mr 30,000. I love this country.
Capitalism recognizes this kind of behavior as a sign of ill health. It's ok to admit that some things are not the right thing to do.

So you came to tell us you are ignorant and proud of it, understand no concept beyond some simple talking points like capitalism good everything else socialism therefore bad and you cannot be bothered to question what repercussions can come from something.

What a wonderful way to go through life

Edit: I look forward to you telling us again young people are lazy and eat too much avocado toast and that's why they can't aford a home (average price is 500k $ now).
Zahlanzi,.......if you are all concerned about a guy with 30,000 houses, and want to write about it, have at it. None of my business and I don't care what wealth he has. McHhill doesnt even care if people put X for their sex on a passport. You fellers don't care about the future plight of your grandchildren for god sakes.
As to this post, I ask you this in all seriousness. If you are going to go disparaging on a guy with a nice investment, 30k houses, you write about him, but you have never jumped on the nice little man, Warren Buffet, for having $80B?
And yes, I only understand capitalism. Seems the Chinese people have taken a liking to it too. 🤔
Go, $30,000 guy.

What does the X on the passport have to do with this thread ?

It is my way of highlighting the mindset of liberals, it is discussed in another thread. It is OK for Mchill to push for the 'X', so I guess I can push for progressives to stop with all of their causes.
I guess we have to get ready for the street marches this spring. I myself have never walked in a street. Too busy with being successful, a trait frowned upon by liberals.

"You fellers don't care about the future plight of your grandchildren for god sakes."
This affects your grand children. That nonsense about the passport doesn't.

"If you are going to go disparaging on a guy with a nice investment, 30k houses, you write about him, but you have never jumped on the nice little man, Warren Buffet, for having $80B?"
I have said repeatedly that there should be no billionaires. If your memory fails you as it is yhe case with old people and especially dumb old people like yourself, i can say it again here. Warren Buffett shouldn't be a billionaire either. Every dollar made above 999 999 999 should be taxed at 99%

"And yes, I only understand capitalism. "
You don't understand it. You only understand talking points about capitalism.

"Seems the Chinese people have taken a liking to it too. 🤔 "
Always fun seeing your pickled brain jump from one point to another completely unrelated point. Toddlers do that too. And senile old people.

I care about what his laptop will tell us.. That is all I care about Suzianne. That is all I care about. And of course, what it will spill about Joe Biden. Aren't you curious yourself? Surely you are., I assume, that, unlike Vivify, you are up on the latest. Interesting drama, if nothing else. Better than watching Ozark!!!
As to his 'wealth', I am not so sure he is wealthy, although he has millions of someone's else's money, which has landed in his accounts.

Zhalanzi says the passport question is nonsense. Zhalanzi, maybe you can help us Americans. How can we let people in Mexico come into our country without passports, but require Passports at the airports?????
Zhalanzi, we are friends . All of us here are friends . Can you not answer this simple question ?

I would like for everyone here to look who you are dealing with here. Nothing personal Zahlinzi, I know you and your friends over there have a lot on your plate right now........

"Strange is it not, you see the problem as to many greedy landlords"
I don't see it as such, you do because you didn't understand my post. And rather than asking me what i mean (like a normal person) you jumped straight to conclusions and, at the end, outright insults

"I see it as not enough landlords"
By all means i see it too. There aren't enough landlords. There shou ...[text shortened]... for landlords. you now want minimum standards after all? Fixin the tired roof is a minimum standard
I do apologize to you for assuming that you had taken a default position amongst many here. And for the resultant abuse.
I just get tired of the drones having to blame someone else all the damn time for someone elses problems, and made an incorrect assumption. Again sorry about that.
While I think we may be more on the same page than I had assumed, you have raised a couple of good points. In Australia and NZ ( cannot talk for anywhere else ) A landlord may get into trouble if they are seen to be renting out " below market ". This may be seen as tax avoidance.
I Did not so much complain about minimum standards for landlords as point out that this drives up rent. I can like in a decrepit hovel "if" I own my house. I can live as cheap as I like. If I rent, I am compelled to maintain the house to a standard that I cannot afford.
It is a problem that I do not know how to fix.
I do know that attempt to fix it usually make affordability worse.

For me, I do not care how rich someone gets, I care though, about how they acquire it.

Me too. We agree. So I can take from your comment that if it is acquired legally, not acquired illegally, like bribe, embezzlement, graft, stealing, cheating, robbing, burgularly, none of all that , that it is OK how rich someone gets. Remember Zahlanziu says there should be no billionaires..
I agree, so what is this discussion about?

I am in favor of a progressive taxation system, having a slowing effect on excess wealth, so, in that, we "may" disagree, not sure, but for the most part I believe that preventing someone from becoming rich, or even excessively rich, will have more negative consequences for all, than positive.
We live in an imperfect world full of imperfect people. NO plan can be perfect, don't try to make one, live with what seems to be the best plan, capitalism, and get over it. Good billionaires, whatever that means, are essential, bad ones, whatever that means, are not wanted. Not my place to differentiate, will leave that to the victim lovers.
