"Appeasement" is a word easily thrown around for propaganda purposes.
Was NATO "appeased" when it forcibly detached Kosovo from Serbia?
Was NATO "appeased" when it attacked Libya?
Was NATO "appeased" when it aided US occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan?

@mchill saidThe Russian people are probably about to find themselves under Marshall law. The only way to avoid economic and civil collapse is by them taking matters into their own hands.
Lost in the news of this invasion is the very real economic pain Russians citizens will feel very soon as a growing list of American companies the Russian economy depends on are cutting ties. They include Visa, Mastercard, Delta Airlines, AT&T, Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Dell, General Motors, Ford, FedEx, DHL, UPS, with more to follow. The west should keep piling on the pressure economically and bolstering it’s forces around Putin’s western border until his inner circle realise there is no happy ending while he hides himself away in the Kremlin like some evil twisted brothers Grimm character.
This is as much about the future of the Russian people as it is about the Ukrainian people and the rest of Europe.

🤷🏻♂️ I’m sure you have a point but for the life of me you just come across as a Kremlin propagandist.
How can you sit there on the east coast of America arguing that Eastern Europe should just settle for a Putin shaped yoke.
If NATO disbands who do you think is going to stop China and Russia from shaping the world in their totalitarian image. If the US blinks now it’s Pacific allies will notice every bit as much as its Atlantic allies.
@kevcvs57 saidSuch a "strategy" is most likely to result in a complete, lengthy occupation of the Ukraine and/or a possible nuclear war. It's hard to see how either serves the interests of anybody.

No one is arguing for what you pretend I am. I don't what a world dominated by Russia/China any more than I want it dominated by an aggressive military alliance in thrall to US ambitions.
