I think your new body is designed by about three hours of clicking options on the internet. Be careful.
When they passed out the ears, I thought they said Beers.... and said "I'll have two great big uns'"
When they passed out the brains, I thought they said Pains... and said "No thanks". You see?
What thread is this? O ya ... I think the mind/body is immuteably entwined, like space/time, horse/carriage etc You are who you are because of the combination of properties of your mind and body. Take one away, and you die or it's not you anymore. Its not like you reside in your brain and control your robot body to do your bidding, your body/mind is you.

Puns are good for health.

So if you had a brain transplant, and you somehow got the brain and body to communicate perfectly, the resulting person would have all the memories and skills of the brain, but some basic aspects of behaviour might be changed - for example, if you put a man's brain in a woman's body they might be less aggressive than the original man, thanks to the testosterone supply going down.

I believe that the mind is coded by information present in the body. From this perspective the statement
*"Suppose it was possible for me to transplant my consiousness into another body"
needs to be refined, because it's a paradox. This is a little bit anal, but it helps clear up the issue I think.
If the information needed to make your conciousness was transported to a fat person's body, the body would be somewhat different than it was when it was that other person's body. You'd have all your memories and associations, so your behavior would be different. Your body would have it's own preferences for food, drugs and exercise I think, based on what it's used to, so it would depend on how strong your mental preferences were. If you deeply identified yourself as a runner, a vegan, and a healthy, thin person, you'd probably become one, within the limits of the body.
You used to play rugby. So, you'd have what you needed to make the new body into a rugby player. However, unless you practiced playing rugby, it wouldn't become a rugby player's body.
