As long as they keep a private option available so that when you really need that MRI, you can pay for it rather than waiting 7 months, a NHS-like system is fine with me. Sure, free same morning doctor's appointments may no longer be available, but hey, doctors of overrated. Suck it up and move on. The cold will go away on its own. Or, if you really need it, call your nurse practitioner cousin and ask for a Z-pack script and away you go.
