These guys, Dems and Reps both, had TWENTY YEARS to plan for this.
In our defense, no one expected The Afghan Army to fold in a week.
My point, that few seemed to understand, is that while this debacle is
happening on Biden's watch, it is, by and large, a situation that he
inherited from the previous (Trump) administration
BECAUSE OF THE DEAL brokered by Pompeo.......They released all of The Taliban's top fighters before Biden even took the oath....The leader of The Taliban, and the likely new president of Afghanistan, Baradan, was released by The Trump Administration, and The Trump Administration only....So let's just lay blame where it largely belongs....As I said, there is plenty of blame to go around, but Biden is (really) just playing the hand he was dealt and, sadly, bad things happen during a bad situation.
