Does seceding make anyone any less of a patriot? The Civil War was fought because the seceding states wanted the government to abide by the Constitution. That to me IS patriotism.
You know what they say... Follow the money.

Has Texas had more patriots than any other state in the union? Here's the short list:
Stephen F. Austin
Jom Bowie
Davy Crokett
James Fannin
Sam Houston
William B. Travis
Audie Murphy
Chester Nimitz
Dwight Eisenhower
Howard Hughes
George Bush
Kay Bailey Hutchison
Rick Perry
George W. Bush

And 4,000 dead Americans compared to a lot of other wars we've had is a fairly small number. Oh and why would you count the bodies of enemies as a bad thing? Just for the record, the Iraq war COULD have been managed better, it COULD have been over by now. And while our reasons for going in may have been a bit shaky, Sadaam Hussein was a monster who needed to be taken care of by someone.
What about 4000+ dead American Soliders and 200,000 dead Iraqis?
Oh yeah, one more thing...The soldiers that died, they weren't drafted, it was their choice to go. Respect their memories by shutting your mouth in the future please.ðŸ˜

It's the price people have to pay for freedom. Or do you oppose confronting and defeating evil? Oh, that's right, you Europeans are above that sort of thing...look what happened in your own back yard (former Yugoslavia) just last decade.
I guess the fact that at least 65.000 of the dead in Iraq are women and children sort of makes it slightly bad.
Originally posted by shavixmirI would question those figures anyway. That sort of tally depends entirely on where you get your info from. In your case I would guess by your attitude that it came from about the most radical anti-American media possible. You know it's odd how you've attacked my country and I've not once attacked yours. Sounds to me like you are a very closed minded individual with a grudge.

Besides, I'd be curious to know how many of those people were killed by Iraq's own former military! If you meant to imply that U.S. soldiers killed 65,000 women and children, then you hardly deserve the justification of a response.
And once again, people die in war, it sort of happens. We used to kill a lot more of our enemy's civilians. like in World Wars 1 and 2 for instance.
