@shavixmir saidEverybody does NOT pay, Shav. Unless it is a socialist society, really creepy. I cannot imagine after I spend a day working, that money is taking from me to pay for your medical care. You have to admit that is really creepy but you seem to be saying that is cool. Can you tell us how that is justifiable?
Well, if you have a national healthcare programme, everybody pays and everybody benefits.
You may disagree with the principle, but comprehending that a great many countries have some sort of national healthcare up and running, it’s a bit of a stretch to call it weird.
Indeed, in Europe it would be considered that weird not to have such a programme anno 2024.
Unemploy ...[text shortened]... ?
Nothing weird about that.
It would be stranger if a country just let people starve, wouldn’t it?
What other countries do, in a different atmosphere and different economy, a different culture, has absolutely nothing to do. What might be applied in the United States. You are just Ranting off the wall like Sunhouse does.
Note that those other countries do not have the tremendous ( fill in the blankhere) that the United States has.
People without a job get money you say. That is quite a vague statement. I will agree that the government should take care of the 50, million destitute people in this country, pay for everything they need. So I agree with you there, but I think you are saying everyone should be treated as a destitute person, and clothed and medicated by the government, that really is creepy .
Free housing!!!! Jesus

So, I’m not ranting at all. I’m telling you how things are done here and that by not doing them, it’s rather strange.
What happens to the poor who get cancer? They just die?
That would be creepy.

@shavixmir saidIn the United States, children with cancer from poor families can often receive treatment, though the situation varies. Programs like Medicaid provide health coverage for low income families, including children and adults. The children’s health insurance program CHIP also helps families that don’t qualify for Medicaid and cannot afford private insurance. Additionally, many hospitals and cancer centers offer financial assistance or charity care for children in need.

However, despite these supports, family still face challenges, like navigating complex healthcare systems, the cost of non-medical expenses, like travel or housing, and long-term financial strain. The system tries to help, but it can be tough for these families.
People with cancer don’t just die
Of course, it is not a perfect world, people with larger net worth will probably get better care. That is just a nature of life. I would think that you think that everyone should have equal treatment, which is what Kamala says, when she says at the end of the day, everyone should end up in the same place. Well that is not realistic and hardly worth discussing. Life ain’t fair, as my mother used to say . But you are wrong to suggest that in the United States that there is no care for people in need.

@AverageJoe1 saidNo, fool, our elected representatives decide.
You did not call him a dictator, you implied that he is a dictator by saying that the people have no right or power to have anything to do with the expenditure of our national budget. So you are saying that the government, which is Biden, dictates what happens to the national budget. If people have no input, whoever is running the show is a dictator.
Now you get it, I hope.
The president only submits a budget. Congress approves it.
That's why I say "You don't like where the money goes? Then don't bitch, vote."
I can't believe I'm teaching an adult about how government works.
But you're a Reagan/Trump devotee, so I guess you need to be educated about it.
@AverageJoe1 saidNo, they just have to be a human being, with normal human values.
Let me get this straight, Kmax. You didn’t like Ronald Reagan.?!?!?!?
Does a person have to be a fairy for you to like them?
@AverageJoe1 saidYou won't even do that.
As an example, weird behavior is to change your sex. The other side of that coin is the weird behavior of requiring Other people to pay for that medical procedure. That is weird you’ve got to admit. What is to keep the people who make you do that sort of thing from making you pay for someone’s groceries.?I’m just asking here.
Funny… Which is more important, to feed someone or to change their sex. Maybe we should direct the money to feeding people.
@wildgrass saidRepublicans have moved on, they're not concerned with that anymore. They have their eyes on world domination.
I agree, but will posit that your examples are not consistent with conservative principles of limited government.

@Suzianne saidBUt you see, maybe you don’t, you are saying “our elected Reps decide.” We shall thus zero in on how the reps come to be there in congress, and note the designation “REPRESENTatives”. They represent. Who do they represent.? He meets each month with the citizens, who sent him to DC…..that is who he represents….that is who they fight for. They ask the citizens, do you want me to vote in favor of the milk subsidy Bill? They TELL him to vote for it, and they pay for his flight and hotel room to DO THEIR BUSINESS.

@shavixmir saidBasically, funded by the states and the federal government through a federal matching program. If you want to get funny and talk about that is socialism, that we are all paying for,it, that is true, but you liberals don’t seem to realize, especially Susianne, that every dollar that is in the air or in Washington or in our pocket was created by the people not created by the government so yes, any money as it comes into any program in Washington DC is money that was created by the citizens. Medicade does not pay for all citizens, the recipients must qualify, there are restrictions,
These health programmes you speak of in the US, how are they funded?
Anyway, there is no need to discuss given facts.,,, as all of the information is on Google.
We have private medical insurance here. One of our problems here is that Kamala wants to get rid of it. it. I absolutely love it. It is a choice we have. I think that our country has more choice than do other countries

Other people are paying for someone else’s care. Aren’t they?
It’s not weird.
@Suzianne saidEveryone enjoy this great example of nonsense from Suzanne. I wrote a very clear concise note to her to correct some things she had said and she writes back and says to go vote. It’s like reading a book and when you get to the end, all the pages are torn out.
Don't bitch, vote.
That's the way the system works.
@shavixmir saidCorrect me if I’m wrong, but I assume that all of your citizens are on the dole for free medicine and care from your government. Am I right or wrong?
