@earl-of-trumps saidYou call them pro life organisations, some call them misogynistic anti choice organisations. Women are going to lose their actual lives when these anti choice laws start to bite so I guess it’s all a matter of subjective perspective.

There will be a lot more of this to come in America, Trumps attempted coup snd the support it’s getting from the Republican Party is a tipping point for the US. It’s not about votes or ideas anymore it’s about how many boots you can put in the street.

@kevcvs57 saidWomen are misogynists kev? You do realise many women belong to the pro-life movement.

@wajoma saidI’m pretty sure I didn’t say misogynistic men, that’s why I criticised / labelled the organisation misogynistic instead. This idea that if some women agree with something it cannot be misogynistic really doesn’t hold water.

Anti choice advocates are going to cause the deaths of some women and condemn a lot more to unwanted and unprepared for motherhood and the unwanted children to being unwanted and unprepared for children.
I’m surprised your not railing about the state goobermints that are taking this freedom of choice away.

@kevcvs57 saidI have an extremely liberal view on abortion, there is a line there somewhere I don't believe in abortion 5 minutes before birth. How about you, the contractions have started, ram something up there, destroy the baby then vacuum it out? You're fine with that?

No the issue was 'misogynistic', the idea that women who support the pro-life movement are misogynistic is absurd but rather than admitting you went a bit OTT you double down. One word: fanatic
One thing I think we can both agree on, no abortion should be on the public health ticket. Either pay for it yourself or appeal to charities that support your decision.

@wajoma saidBut your just lying about what I posted because as usual you are without a viable argument. Your claiming that if a female president or prime minister passed a law stating that women must walk ten feet behind their husbands at all times it would not be misogynistic because a women passed the law, of course women can hate other women, stop being ridiculous.

Women who support the restrictions of choices of women are supporters of misogynistic legislation.
I do not believe anyone would abort a child 5 minutes before birth it would be too ridiculous a scenario.
@kevcvs57 saidHaha, kev says: 'stop being ridiculous' and then he tries the walking 10' behind analogy, wow, that's a good one. My work here is done for the night.

BTW 5 minutes before birth is out, ok we agree on that, then where is your line for abortion that you'd like to impose on women.

@wajoma saidNow your just rambling about something you think you’ve seen but ok.

I wouldn't impose anything on women, having known quite a few of them I would trust them to do what they feel is right for them, the foetus and their family if they have one.
No one is pro abortion Wajoma, especially not the women who elect to have one. It’s just pro choice and anti choice.
The best way to curtail abortion numbers is to make it economically possible for everyone to have as many children as they want but that would require a more progressive tax system and more government assistance but you wouldn’t want that would you, so perhaps just leave individual women to make choices dependant on their reality at the time.

@jimm619 saidAren't you the one that frequently brings up "whataboutism"?
Well, as long as they didn't kill any doctors, right?

@shavixmir saidSeriously?
I don’t think anyone’s actually pro-abortion.
Perhaps you reside in an alternative reality?
Do you ever read a newspaper or watch the news on TV?

@techsouth saidRight.......What about murder?
Aren't you the one that frequently brings up "whataboutism"?

Regardless of your position on any political issue, it should be obvious that everyone should condemn fire bombings, shootings and killings in general. No one should use murder to promote a political position. And everyone should realize that it is counter productive to your cause to attempt to justify or make excuses for killers even if we agree with moderate versions of the causes they are trying to promote.
