What method would you use to deter Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons? Or alternatively, do you believe Iran possessing nuclear arms isn't a problem?

I thought you copied and pasted an excerpt from the book you read.

But nevertheless, the President of Iran held a Mickey Mouse election and then killed protesters who turned to the streets en masse as a result.

But that doesn't even matter because the real position of power is held by their "Supreme Leader" who is appointed by a committee.

And then you have gays being arrested, beaten and even killed just for being gay. Oops, I forgot. "We have no gay people in Iran" You can be arrested for listening to rock music. I can go on.

Being from a very diverse area I have met at least a dozen Iranian natives. Literally all of them disagree with you.

Iran's "elections" drew extreme skepticism and criticism from all over the world. It wasn't just US propaganda. You seem like an intelligent person, so I find it baffling that you would believe someone who is willing to execute protesters on sight would actually hold fair elections.

And by the way, a good friend of mine was killed by an EFP in Iraq. A very lovely and Iranian import.

Iran can't build a nuclear bomb without a more pure uranium. They are not at the level to even start to build a bomb. Leon Panetta stated that Iran does not have a nuclear weapons program. No weapons program, end of story.

Also, it's ludicrous to say that not being able to build one now means they don't have a nuclear weapons program. It was known for quite some time North Korea had such a program, when finally they built and tested their first nuclear bomb.

Metalbrain seems to equate "developing a nuclear bomb" with actually having all of the necessary components to assemble one.
