Republican tell Boy Scouts stay no-gay

Of course I do. But I also think the membership should get to decide what and when to change. To their credit, apparently that's happening.

What kind of reception do you think I, a 40-year-old white male Republican, would receive if I tried to join the Black Panthers?

No, just pointing out that "having standards" isn't necessarily a positive thing.

Neither the the KKK nor the Boy Scouts accept gay people - for the same exact reasons.

Nah, certainly right. If someone thinks that homosexuality is evil based on Biblical reasons, then that person is equivalent to a member of the KKK, at least in your book. Same applies to pretty much all Christianphobes.

No. It was like the military. You could be gay and keep it to yourself, or you could come "out" and reveal yourself. If you did the later, then you got booted out.

As for the Boy Scouts, it may be that parents, especially those of faith who don't agree with the gay lifestyle, don't want the lifestyle talked about in Boy Scouts whatsoever.

Some would say that sex between two people who love each other is also OK even though the Bible tells Christians to marry before engaging in sex. I suppose you think this to be insane as well.

I say if the Boy Scouts want to remain faith based that they should have the right to do so that that faith based parents feel better about sending their children there. In fact, why doesn't someone create an alterior Boy Scouts if that is the case? Of course, I know the answer, it is because the agenda is to normalize the gay lifestyle, so that means crushing any organization or any person that does not agree with it.
