Yes. Marseille, where a mere 15 years ago it truly was unsafe to roam around certain areas is now, generally, as safe as any other city in Europe.

Let’s look at Britain as an example:
1950’s: moped gangs, rockers and mods
1960’s: hippies and activists
1970’s: punks and fascists
1980’s: hooligans, fascists, strikers
Etc.
Every era has groups of people who don’t fit in to the ruling mentality. And it’s nothing to do with immigration.
Most immigrants want to come to a country to live peacefully. Generally in the lower wage classes. The immigrant biys get caught up in that poverty circle. Immigrant girls do way better at school.
Within 2 or 3 generations the immigrants are sucked into society and their custums and rituals are normalised and to a great extent watered down.
That is how immigration generally works.
There is one thing that throws hot oil into the flames of that mechanism though. Hate and oppression.
If the “dominant culture” of a country cracks down on a sub-culture, the sub-culture goes into resistance and will dig in to not assimilate.
So, the more you ban bagpipes, the more Scots will take up bagpipe playing. Etc.
Blaming immigrants is like blaming men or women or teenagers. It’s a sweeping generalisation which only prolongs differences.

I'm old enough to have seen once great cities turn to filth because of immigration. Why do you think their original county is crap and where they end up turns to crap? You think that's a coincidence? Oh I'm sure you'll blame the white man for whatever failures the immigrants have because that is your denial strategy.

And I'm old enough to know that America's cities had already been long-time filthy and crime-ridden when I left in 1980.
"The failed immigration problem" as you call it is not the immigrant, but the host country. A host country which abandons immigrants to inner cities, which were already filthy and crime-ridden, will find that it has a 'problem with immigrants.' A country which reaches out to immigrants, especially those from different cultures, and educates them to the norms of the host country, will find that they integrate quickly and well. Some countries do this better than others. In the country where I live, for example, there are many Sri Lankans. Sri Lankans are, by and large, neither white nor Christian; nonetheless, Geneva, Berne, Zurich, Lucerne are not filthy or crime-ridden. Why is this? Because Switzerland makes an effort to ensure that integration in the host culture succeeds, by educating people from alien cultures. Most immigrants want to succeed in the host country, because where they came from was filthy and crime-ridden, or war-torn; that's exactly what they don't want to duplicate in their new home, given an equal chance and some education in the ways and customs of the host country. My own experience of immigrants in Switzerland is that they are very enterprising people, they are very efficient and dedicated small businessmen and businesswomen, opening nail studios and beauty salons (which they are not allowed to do in the Taliban's Afghanistan, for example), or small markets selling fresh produce (often Turks or Pakistanis have the best produce, better than the chain-stores).
People are not leopards. They are the second most adaptable creatures on the planet (after bacteria).

Apparently he was arrested at a residence in Frankfurt (but there are two Frankfurts in Germany, one in the former West and the other in the former East, and the article did not say which one, anyhow he lives in Germany).
We await what prosecutors intend to do with him. If he was indeed part of a plot to overthrow the state, he will surely be charged with sedition.
