@wildgrass saidPersonally I take Tom Cruise or leave him, I don't look up to him or any other man, other than perhaps my own Father, may God rest his soul was a good man.
No not necessarily losers at all. Rush was infectious and a very effective entertainer. His work, however, does not translate to reality. It is the folks who grew up listening to him spew nonsense and are now pretending to be him in situations where they are required to make important decisions for our society. Those people are feckless losers.
Say you love Tom Cruise sp ...[text shortened]... nd jump off buildings and try to be an ACTUAL SPY after watching him in movies, then you're a loser.
I think that everyone should have the right to say what they wish but not to incite riots as Trump did which has nothing to do with Rush, but I believe he tried to act a lot like him if you listen closely, hell he even gave him a medal I don't believe he deserved!~

@very-rusty saidRight. I think most conservative politicians in DC are running the Rush playbook. They act like stuffy old curmudgeons fed up with the lib-turds. This persona gets them donations to support their candidacies. It does not, however, do anything to solve problems. Problem solving becomes a liability. What the heck else are they going to talk about??? Even in huge humanitarian crises that occur in mismanaged states run by conservatives for decades, they're on air harping about radical socialist agendas. That's Rush Limbaugh. They can't solve problems anymore.

@wildgrass saidPerhaps and hopefully we will see some changing happening over time with the new POTUS. Nothing will happen over night and there are a lot of wrongs to try and make right again. I feel bad for the U.S.A.

I have relatives who live in Boston we agree on somethings and strongly disagree on others, but we are still related and family at the end of the day. The U.S.A. have to become a leader again like they once were, but this time don't try and solve everyone else's problems look after your own problems first.
We have many came here who are citizens in Canada who fled from the Vietnam war, not because they were cowards but didn't believe in the war. Many have went on to prosper have there own their own businesses and are happy now with grand-children! By the way they never did win that war!!!

@wildgrass saidWildgrass. Cut to the chase. Rush was politically incorrect, and liberals cannot understand people that are not politically correct, when lib mantra is acceptance of all things liberal. Getting in other peoples business, getting other people’s stuff, that sort of thing. You know y’all tried to take him down for about 30 years, so you must have been wrong.

@averagejoe1 saidYou try to dress up a religiously stupid world view as political incorrectness so you can wear your stupidity as a badge of honor.

There you go. One sentence nicely packaged. 😛
@averagejoe1 saidLibs hating Rush was predictable, understandable and boring.

The chase was where all Republicans adopted Rush's combat-only attitude and stopped governing like adults. Stop trying to solve problems and just drop loads on other punks trying to solve them. Green new deal is a bad deal for America? Governor - half of your natural gas production is shut down and pipes are bursting in the background of the zoom camera. Your political party has controlled all decision making related to the Texas power grid for 20 years. You wanna blame this on a hypothetical proposal by a junior congressowoman from New York?
Governor: Uhh, yeah.
They all gotta go. Stop letting them get away with it. They're not entertainers. They're supposed to make actual things work better.
@wildgrass saidYou, classic, are telling Rush what he “Has To Do?!!?!?!?!!!” What if he tells Wildfrass that he has to work at a windmill? Who rules on the things Rush, with his platform, tells us to do? What if he says tuition should be free? Who says? Rush? Or do you mean he should tell us what his handlers.. (YOU?).. tell him to tell us.

Did you REALLY mean to say that Wildgrass?
Hate is a very strong word.
He was shock Jock like Howard Stern only took it a step further, making fun of people like Michael J. Fox disclosing his 1991 diagnosis, at age 29, with Parkinson’s disease. Rush tried to say he was faking it for the publicity, rather he believed that or not is questionable. It certainly got a lot of attention and reaction that he was looking for. No one is saying he was a nice man certainly not me he said many things that were hurtful to people to gain his own so called fame. With Millions in his audience it is hard to debate he had those.
I just don't think it is very respectful to talk ill of the dead even if they were nasty people in this world. Texas have a big problem right now, and people should be doing everything they can do to help them, now is not the time to be critical of what anyone did. Children are hungry and cold, I am not sure where the death toll is right now but there will most certainly be more. Lets everyone lend a helping hand right now. There will be plenty of time to point the accusing finger when it is over. May God help them all at this time in their hour of need.

@very-rusty saidAmen, we all agree. Life aint Perfect, and one cannot right now say whether Rush was good or bad 50% yea, 50% nay. Life. I should’ve done this or should’ve done that. Again, it was an entertainment show. He would say things like the girl that wanted us to pay for her birth control recreation, which gauled me. Others thought she was cool. If you are saying he should’ve stayed in the middle, I would think that would be a very boring show Liberals might’ve thought he was wrong, of course, but that would not concern a man putting on a show like he did .he didn’t care what anybody thought, he kept throwing things out there to stir things up. That’s entertaining, and that equals money. His avocation. We hsd him, y’all had someone else, that’s what makes the world go round. All fun bantering, I think he was truly fun and humorous.

@very-rusty saidMy comment was not meant to be an indictment of Rush as an entertainer. He was what he was.

My comment was an indictment of those who took the divisive, hateful rhetoric that defined Rush the entertainer and turned it into a real world governing philosophy. Since Rush is so popular, why don't I just say whatever he's saying and then I'll be popular?
@wildgrass saidExactly.

rush simply takes on the topical issues, like many other conservative talk show hosts.
But somehow, it's not the same or even close. While Rush was absent this last couple
of weeks, I could not listen to his fill-in host except for Mark Stein, who I like.
In this case, it is not what you say it is how you say it.
And Rush Limbaugh drove a point like no other. He was the master.
@wildgrass saidYou say (talk show hosts ) are supposed to make things work better. That is how I interpreted what you said, thus my answer, about what they are supposed to do. Supposed to do. Didn't get that . There is no supposed to. He is running a business. When I say it is about the money,, I mean all encompassing about rush making a success of himself.
Huh? I didn't say that.
