@earl-of-trumps saidA woman Republican. Actual freaking women's rights are alien to them.
@sonhouse - And now it will be a fight to keep women's rights in place.
And you bleat this nonsense out when you know Trump is nominating a woman to the Supreme Court.
No creds. I place your rantings in the "spam" category.
The only women's rights they are aware of are white women's rights.
Now let's talk about Trump telegraphing that he'll choose a woman for the SC. Funny how Republicans everywhere, including in this very forum, when Biden said that he will pick a woman for his running mate, we heard a chorus of "So qualifications don't matter?" And these same hypocritical people are actually cheering that Trump says he'll pick a woman.
Republicans, thy name is Hypocrisy.

@mott-the-hoople saidOne? Trump has already shoved TWO down our throats.
if you feel that way, what is wrong with republicans shoving ONE down dems throats?
One was a stolen pick and the other was a sexual assaulter, just like Trump.
RBG doesn't deserve to be replaced with a Republican pick. Not after her tireless record of championing minorities and women.
McConnell arranged to have Trump steal Obama's pick. The least that should happen is Biden stealing Trump's pick. That's Justice.

But my take away on this is that the GOP is pushing the nomination through with a level of desperation because .......
......they think they are going to lose this fall.
Because, really......if Trump is winning in November, then ... what’s the rush ?? 😛

@no1marauder saidIn my opinion, he is mocking Biden's use of identity politics.
"Trump has vowed the nominee would be a woman.
"It will be a woman. A very talented, very brilliant woman, who I haven't chosen yet, but we have numerous women on the list," Trump said Saturday night."

So that isn't "identity politics" even though it is the SAME THING Biden did which was according to you?
Are you trying to make this a war or something? If you don't like my opinion, say so, and drop it. I so dislike wasting my time repeating myself for trolls.

@Mott-The-Hoople////// HEY, Mutt, in case you didn't notice,
HILLARY WON THE ELECTION BY SOME 4 MILLION VOTES///
Lay down with dogs, you wake up with MUTTS

@Ponderable........FDR tried to put 11 justices on THE COURT.
The public, nor the politicians embraced the idea.

@no1marauder saidAwesome. It's almost as if someone thought of the most easily abusable system and set it up thinking nobody would be that shameless to actually abuse it.
No, Moscow Mitch and the Republicans eliminated the filibuster as regards judicial appointments.
EDIT: In technical terms, they made a vote for cloture i.e. to end debate require only a majority in judicial confirmation cases rather than the 3/5 required in most other cases.
Oh well. I am trying to stop worrying about stuff that won't affect me (probably). You fix your mess.
@philokalia saidYou're kidding, right?
It is not persuasive to relentlessly accuse the Republicans of sexism and racism.
@philokalia saidBeing white is not an antidote to racism and sexism.
No.
As someone who disagrees with you, it just sounds really tiresome and commonplace to make this accusation.
Since I know so many Republicans that are not racist or sexist, I can only chock it up to cheerleading.
You know that, right?
