@no1marauder saidyou dont mind lying. no where does it state the scotus members reasoning, just their decission.
I gave you the cites above.
You really don't seem to mind making an utter fool of yourself.
@no1marauder saidno need to get pissed…you are not man enough to admit when you are wrong
It's not worth responding to your idiotic posts; you were wrong about what the decision would be based on and are still wrong about it. I correctly told you that the SCOTUS might very well strike down the vaccine "mandates" (though they didn't strike down both of them - something you don't seem to grasp) but on grounds that Congress hadn't given OSHA authority.
So you ...[text shortened]... p and claim you've won something, but all you are showing is your profound and persistent ignorance.
@mott-the-hoople saidYou must be a complete idiot.

READ the goddamn thing or have some non-moron read it to you.

While you're at it, READ the opinion and decision which came out the same day upholding the health care worker "mandate".https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/21pdf/21a240_d18e.pdf
@no1marauder saidSo my wife ran over one of my dogs, but SHE DIDNT RUN OVER BOTH OF THEM.

So you ...[text shortened]... eally don't understand why the SCOTUS made the decision it did, review SH76's post on top of page 4.
Geez O Petey.
@no1marauder saidgosh, why the anger?

of course the court gave their opinion on whether the mandates are legal or not. That is not your argument here though. Your argument is that they based their opinion based on rights.
You can copy and paste…go ahead and prove your argument by doing that.
You cant because its not there. Their opinion didnt address that as you are trying to insinuate.

@mott-the-hoople saidBecause you are too stupid to debate.
gosh, why the anger?
Get this through your stupid, worthless head. Multiple people are pointing this about you.
@mott-the-hoople saidWrong question. You should be asking, why did Trump say "I love the uneducated"?
why are you liberals so full of hate?
And also: why are conservatives like yourself so undedicated?
This is not merely a stereotype: even Trump recognized conservatives are dumb...and he thinks windmills cause cancer.
@vivify saidSo here's Vivify, a Marauder protege'. Trump said I love the uneducated, whatever. Have you seen what Biden says? Jesus.
Wrong question. You should be asking, why did Trump say "I love the uneducated"?
And also: why are conservatives like yourself so undedicated?

But Vivify, just for a bit of balance, while you boys get mad as hell, like children, see what consummate lib Peter Srozk said.
"Just went to a southern Virginia Walmart. I could SMELL the Trump support". "Trump supporters (are) still ignorant hillbillies". Now a good little lib like yourself will come back to me.."Well, they ARE ignorant!" Not unlike the Handy Andy child of yesteryear.
But let us see you instead come back with an adult comparison of what Trump says, and what one of your dear leaders says. Just keeping it honest, Vivify.

Please tell Marauder that I have capitulated in the way of adding links, still trying to meld in with protocol.
@mott-the-hoople saidActually my argument is quite the opposite; it is AJ who keeps insisting the decision was based on some "right".
gosh, why the anger?

Both Sh and I agree it was, instead, based on an interpretation of Congressional intent when it passed the law creating OSHA with the difference being he apparently agrees with that interpretation and I most certainly do not (in fact, I find it quite implausible based on the law's text).
@vivify saidHello, @sonhouse.. is that you?
Wrong question. You should be asking, why did Trump say "I love the uneducated"?

So tell me vivify, why are you throwing these mean spirited insults all around?
Make you feel like a man,,,?
make you feel superior??
I think you suck when you do this, dooshery
@no1marauder saidThe lib justices focused very much on the outcome of the mandates. 'How could it be in the public interest?' This question does not appear to involve a whole lot of law, which is what SCOTUS is supposed to consider. Esp Lib Justice Breyer, they let emotion creep in. Where is the legal argument?? They seem to be going along with anything so long as you can put a "public health benefit' on it? Do fed agencies have the authority such as being discussed? No. And so they ruled. They simply abided by the Constitution. They could not just use 'public health' measures to make such decisions.
Actually my argument is quite the opposite; it is AJ who keeps insisting the decision was based on some "right".

The conservatives focused on major questions doctrine. things like relative risk.....it is a rule extending beyond the workplace, as it affects your life at home. Some are old, some are young, etc. Some work in crowded meat packing plants, and truck drivers working alone. What really counts as an emergency ? Is it still an emergency 2 years from now?
The broadness of the mandates cannot be surmounted. It is not polio or smallpox. Some call it a big flu. And if OSHA could do this can they do it at their whim. And when OSHA was created, they did not figure in COVID. And Congress has certain powers, that a president does not.
OSHA administrators are not elected. Do you want them to run your lives?
And why didn't Biden bring this to congress to create?
Part of living in a free society is to NOT be ruled in ways such as we are dealing with in this matter. Libs like to be coddled and fed, protected. Let our representatives take care of them, not mandate mandaters, some of which are not elected.
Even Marauder should get this reasoning.
As to 'rights' which I mention, everyone has a right, today, to not take the vax.
