Incredibly amusing that a Christian fanatic site should cause a profanity

And regardless of what the church says, I don't think I'll go to hell for masturbating.
Simply because you say 'I'm Roman Catholic,' doesn't mean that you
are. If you don't adhere to the dogmas which the Church teaches, then
you're simply not a Roman Catholic.

Just because you live in the United States doesn't make you an American;
the laws of the US are what determine whether you are or are not.
Just because you go to Mass every Sunday and profess the Creed and
eat the Eucharist doesn't mean you are a Roman Catholic; the teachings
of the Church are what determine your Catholicity. Open and willful
disobedience to the teachings of the Church result in self-excommunication.

This is not my rule or my opinion; it is one of the tenets of Roman
Catholicism: submission of will and intellect to the teachings of the Church.

The wages of sin are death and damnation but the hours are good.

Maybe that is the situation in the US.

However, having lived in some latin american countries (which are overwhelmingly catholic), I found that people believed in catholicism, and still used contraception.

Do you think people there are less catholic because they do that?

Family planning violates Reihenfolge der Papst

Avoiding making babies with their dance,

We'd have to say they've lapsed ...

(I think I should get a Blue Ribbon for that one)

This is not my opinion. It's not what 'I think.' And it's not 'the situation in the US.' If you are committing a grave sin knowingly and willingly, and then coming to the Eucharistic Table, then
you are excommunicating yourself. This is Rome's teaching. So, if you are masturbating or using
contraception or whatever, you are committing what the Church opines is a grave sin and, in the
absence of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the state of your soul is ill-disposed for the receipt
of the Eucharist.

Again: this is not my rule, this is not my interpretation. This is what the rule-makers in Rome
say is the teaching of the Church. And, as I said, simply because a person disagrees with the
rule-maker doesn't give them the authority to say 'I'm a Roman Catholic, even if Rome says I'm
not.'

That's good but a bit high brow for this thread. How about this one...

Q. Why does a dog lick its balls?

A. Because it can.
