"The sweeping indictment, based on the investigation by special counsel Jack Smith, charges Trump with four felony counts: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights."

@Earl-of-Trumps
Ok Mr (Maybe I am wrong in calling you Mr.) political maven, why don't you tell US what you think Trump's motive is to be POTUS again.
2. Avoiding jail time.
3. Going after his political rivals.

@earl-of-trumps saidI see you’re defending Trump again Earl of Trump.
Two things going on here, kewpie....
1] trying to overthrow the government, and overthrowing the government are two different things. there is NO WAY
Trump had the muscle in Washington to even come close to an overthrow, not to mention key cities throughout.
2] If it is soooo obvious that Trump was trying to overthrow the government, why didn't he get arrested? ...[text shortened]... ld take for an overthrow of the government.
What you suffer from is a bad case of wishful thinking.

@earl-of-trumps saidLOL.
you're acting like I'm someone who voted for Trump and that will vote for Trump again.
Incredible.
@no1marauder saidTell me, it took 2.5 years to come up with something. Do you think it is legit or just another political harassment suit>

@suzianne saidAssuming Trump becomes president, you may be correct about his going after his political rivals. Do you not think that he would be within his rights to go after Biden for this hell that y’all have put him through for eight years or more? I would be satisfied just to watch. Trump harass the hell out of Biden‘s for the rest of his years. Jail would be a waste of time because he would not know where he was. Just a hassle would be fine enough.

Thousands of people in the Czech Republic rallied against the government Saturday, protesting high inflation and demanding an end to the country’s military support for Ukraine.

“Stop the war, stop NATO,” they chanted.
@averagejoe1 saidYou cannot be that big an idiot, how many times does he have to tell you that he will only accept the result if he wins, even if you thought he was joking you must know now that he wasn’t.
He can’t just install himself, lieutenants’ guns drawn. Our libs could overrun him just with their numbers.! I think he would leave when his time is up. So that leaves us to decide, do we want a great president with a questionable personality, or do we want a president like Joe Biden or Kamala or Jimmy Carter?
Stupid boy!

@shavixmir saidSo your solution is for the UN to dominate the world?
Imperalism in all its forms is a cesspool of horrors.
So, no. No American domination and no other domination either.
Give the UN more teeth and get rid of the permanent status 5 countries have on the security council.
Every 3 years: 15 random countries take part in it.
Of course no one country should dominate the world. But the UN is a waste of oxygen and NYC parking (though that's less of any issue since covid).
The problem with the UN is not so much that it's useless in its present form, but more that it's impossible to divvy up its power in a realistic way. You can't give each country one vote like in the general assembly, since it's parently unrealistic for Monaco and China to have equal representation. You also have a very difficult time protecting the rights of a minority in a body like the UN.
I suppose that if a group of geniuses got together and wrote an algorithm to divvy power based on some combination of population, economic output and geopolitical influence AND you figured out a way to craft a watchdog committee to ensure that no minority country's rights were getting trampled, you might be able to craft something realistic. But that happening is less likely than Zach Wilson leading the Jets to a Lombardi Trophy.
