A perception I commonly encounter among Usanians is that the USA is somehow bankrolling the UN, Africa, you name it. Actually, as your links showm the USA owes the UN a lot of money.
Hypocrisy & self-righteousness have made the USA few friends in recent years.

The reason you're paying so much is because you're so heavily in

all your money on guns. You then proceeded to have an enema of
you old munitions over Afghanistan so you could buy more new guns.
You then found yourself all dressed up with no-one to blow so you
steamrolled into Iraq, no doubt so you can justify buying bigger and
better guns.
