@spruce112358 saidWell that's every politician. Lying flip floppers, all of them. That reads like he got caught flat footed, made up some BS on the spot, then later came up with an answer trying to please as many people (that might actually vote for him) as possible, which seems to be hey if some red state fools want to get tossed out of office by trying to restrict contraception that's on them.
He's a flip-flopper. Like any flip-flopper, he wants to have it both ways. I don't take flip-floppers seriously:
Flip: "In an interview airing Tuesday with political analyst Jon Delano on KDKA-TV of Pittsburgh, Trump was asked whether he supports any restrictions on a person's right to contraception.
"We’re looking at that, and I'm going to have a policy on ...[text shortened]... , also in all caps, "I do not support a ban on birth control and neither with the Republican party."
@spruce112358 saidAgreed! I don't either. He is funny sometimes, but I wish he wasn't so strange, and I wish he didn't bring out such animosity in others because more than anything this country needs to come together. But we always have to choose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. I've never voted for him in a primary, but I'll take him over Biden any day.
I just don’t see trolling as an important qualification for the job.
@Sleepyguy saidGetting rolled by his own departments and centers.
Interesting. What about Trump's COVID response bothered you? Two years to "flatten the curve?" Getting rolled by big pharma and Fauci? The unbelievable spending? Something else?
His branch of government (remember, he was president right?) controls DHHS and DOE. Trump appointed Fauci. But when it came to real leadership, he blamed, deflected and completely confused everyone with contradictory information.
One example of this was his "OPEN THE SCHOOLS" tweet that came out at a time when parents and employees were quite frustrated. But his own CDC and DOE had issues guidelines that supported maintaining the shutdown. He did this to score political points, not fix problems. The problem got worse because of it, when superintendents wanted to reopen schools (like trump apparently wanted them to do) they were thwarted by CDC and DOE recommendations to the contrary. Parents swarmed.
What a mess. All created by Trump's ineffective leadership.
Could have implemented the swedish approach, chose not to. Inexcusable.
@wildgrass saidYep, I agree that was all a big fat failure, but hey he got that "vaccine" into your arm at warp speed baby, faster and more powerfully than has ever been done before! I don't know what they were telling him, but he fell for it hook line and sinker.

@Sleepyguy saidWhatever and all of it. A national crisis and he could not handle it.

If he's president again, we better hope nothing bad happens because it'll be the same chaotic mess. A wooden shoe would have made a better president in 2020.
