Check out New York, last report 117 new cases.
https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-data.page
"As of March 31, the NYC Health Department is now reporting the number of COVID-19 cases by diagnosis date, instead of report date. Diagnosis date is the date that someone went to their doctor and had a swab taken for testing. We were previously using the reported date of infection. Diagnosis date is more reflective of when people are getting sick and being tested.
Due to this change, case counts per day reported previously will not match current daily counts. Information about cases over the last week will be incomplete until the laboratories and hospitals report the results for people who were tested, which can take a few days to a week.
Due to delays in reporting, recent data are incomplete."

The epidemic in NYC may have crested, but no one in their right mind believes that there were only 117 new cases.

@eladar saidWhat is in bold in the post above?
@no1marauder
How many days are incomplete?
" Information about cases over the last week will be incomplete until the laboratories and hospitals report the results for people who were tested, which can take a few days to a week."

@no1marauder saidLol, so now it takes weeks but a few days ago it did not.
What is in bold in the post above?

@eladar saidI gave you the NYC Health Department answer.
@no1marauder
You did not answer my question.
I don't know more than they do.

@no1marauder saidUntil you do know, we will need to go by the numbers we see.
I gave you the NYC Health Department answer.

Interesting to see what today's totals will be. That chart shows numbers dropping like a rock.

Jesus Christ, you are ridiculous. You and other right wingers just cannot process information that is not consistent with your preconceived ideas.
It's quite possible new cases in NYC are falling. It is impossible that they have fallen to 100 a day or anything near it. The NYC Health Department has explained there will be a lag before reliable data on that daily number is obtained, so I wouldn't regard anything in the last week as definitive for a few more days given the time it takes for tests to be verified and reported to the Department.

So any predictions on states opening back up?

@eladar saidOne thing the chart does show is that there were few fewer reported new cases on the weekend last week and then a big jump on Monday.
Until you do know, we will need to go by the numbers we see.

@eladar saidDepends. BTW, States aren't "closed" so they won't need to "open back up". But I'll take your propaganda wording to mean when non-essential businesses will be permitted to reopen.

June maybe. Hopefully sooner in NY, though May 1st is out of the question.

@earl-of-trumps saidThe Donald disagrees:
@no1marauder
I know the economic slowdown hurts Donald's re-election chances and you care more about that than people's lives but a fairly large majority of Americans disagree with your deranged priorities.
No1, you do realize that Trump does not tell states to do lockdowns, right? It is state and city controlled.
"“For the purpose of creating conflict and confusion, some in the Fake News Media are saying that it is the Governors decision to open up the states, not that of the President of the United States & the Federal Government,” tweeted Trump on Monday. “Let it be fully understood that this is incorrect. It is the decision of the President, and for many good reasons. "
"“I like to allow governors to make decisions without overruling them, because from a constitutional standpoint, that’s the way it should be done,” said Trump. “If I disagreed, I would overrule a governor, and I have that right to do it. "

I'm sure we'll get a lot of "whataboutisms" in response but a man so ignorant of basic Constitutional principles has no business in the White House.
Agreed, Earl?
