@no1marauder saidNeither do the students.
I've already explained to you morons that a teacher doesn't "own" the office space her employer assigns her.
The office is assigned to staff for their use, students can't just barge in and take over.
Your argument fails at every level.
@no1marauder saidWell, a judge does not 'own' his courtroom assigned to him by the county, but by golly, he has full control and makes all the rules at his whim. That is what we have here.
I've already explained to you morons that a teacher doesn't "own" the office space her employer assigns her. And contrary to your usual incredible ignorance, a teacher who makes bigoted comments to students doesn't get a pass because she mistakenly thinks she owns school property. The school made clear it does not tolerate discriminatory behavior, she violated that policy and was fired.
End of story.
BTW, do you know Biden told teachers 'the children are yours when they are in the classroom'. Oh really? Biden is talking like a liberal. You see, y'all think that we are all one big family, which is as far from the truth as you can get. Sickening.
@jj-adams saidThey didn't; as I already showed they had permission.

And BTW even if in some alternative universe they didn't, the school would still have been justified in firing her for her bigoted comments to the students.
@averagejoe1 saidKeep showing your stupidity; a judge has as much control over his office as his employer i.e. the People give him. A teacher has as much control over her office as her employer i.e. the school gives her. In this case, the school did not give her the authority to make bigoted comments to students in her office; when she did so, she was fired.

Get it yet?
Basically, right wingers here are trying to change the subject and try to blame the students for doing something wrong rather than the teacher who made the bigoted comments. This fails for two reasons (though the first isn't really relevant):
1. There is no actual evidence they've produced that the student did anything wrong; the only source that we have said the students asked for and received permission to use the room for prayer (which the school is required to permit);
2. Besides which, even if the students had done something wrong, it does not mitigate nor excuse the teachers' actions and comments towards them. And that is what she was fired for.
@sonhouse saidNot necessarily (or exclusively) a defense of that teacher. I see it as an examination of all the actions of everyone involved.
@Kilroy70
Is this a defense of that teacher?
In my opinion she could have easily dealt with the situation by simply recognizing the potential trap and not saying anything. If she had said nothing, then what could she be accused of? However, if she said or did nothing about it she could have been accused of not dealing with the situation.
It appears some posters here are only focused on what the teacher did, as though no one else was involved or at fault.
@no1marauder saidSurely teachers are allowed to scorn any form of religion?

@shavixmir saidNo, a teacher shouldn't be allowed to stop students from praying during non-instructional time because of some generalized scorn of religion.
Surely teachers are allowed to scorn any form of religion?
Ah yes... classic self loathing white liberals.
They took out the Christianity in schools but they allow Muslims to ride the magic carpet 🙄
For anyone who hasn't heard Muslims praying, it is very loud and annoying. So it isn't just them doing something by themselves. It's them forcing everyone to hear that mumbo jumbo.
@booger saidPlus if you draw a cartoon of Mohammed they kill you.

@no1marauder saidSatanism is a form of religion. Would your comments be the same if they were doing Satanism, which involves very loud undecipherable chanting, enclosed flames, and animals, together with just amazing costumes? Would teachers have a right to put a time-limit on it, I go to a lot of them, some of them last 6 hours.
No, a teacher shouldn't be allowed to stop students from praying during non-instructional time because of some generalized scorn of religion.
Common sense is about to disappear. All AvJoe has to sell now is logic and rationale........
@booger saidNo surprise that this is really about you sharing the teacher's bigoted attitudes.

They don't sound very "loud and annoying" in the video, do they?
