Donald Trump didn’t get rich laboring. Why should you have to do hard physical labor just to pay the rent and have a decent car?

This (my) country was founded by slave masters who got rich without laboring. You seem to admire those people and are constantly insulting the slaves who labored harder than anyone else ever has in this country. You are inconsistent.

Being a police is not without risk, but you wrote that police are expected to die at a moment's notice presumably as a rationale for why transit officers should be paid more than teachers?

The job of police isn't in the top 15 of risky occupations, and this list does not correlate whatsoever with salary. So I guess I don't understand your point.
The list should in part correlate with salary.

Where are teachers on that list?

I refer to "we" as in "We the people". Of course there's variance on an individual level.

We ask teachers to propaganda? Who does that?
The Texas government for one - and Texas has a bizarre grip on the schoolbook industry:

Where are teachers on the list of lethally dangerous jobs? I have no idea.

Think about the highest paying jobs in capitalist systems. They require a lot of skill but in no way are they dangerous.

Salary of various jobs correlates a lot more with expectations and responsibility. CEOs get paid a lot of money because the job is extremely specialized and they bear a lot of responsibility. Teachers also have very specialized job descriptions and responsibility, and add on top of that the unreasonable expectations from every parent in their class that they teach the stuff the parent wants the kid to know. Its absurd that the job of teacher is paid less than the high-school educated transit cop who stands there silently at the train stop all day without incident.

CEOs get paid a lot because they set their own pay. Their pay is not based on the value they add.

Labour is hard.

Sitting at a desk and telling students to do their school work is not.
No wonder you are so
