Well, I for one know that would NEVER fly. That's like trying to teach sex ed in school. Sure, it's HELPFUL, but how many people REALLY listen to it? Exactly.

I agree with the poster that said "what would qualify a teacher to teach the bible"? Certainly not going to church. The bible is a touchy subject and EVERYONE has their own meaning o ...[text shortened]... at this means and that means. So no....that's a very BAD idea.

The GREAT ONE has spoken.
Not in my time, but there will be a time when it's taught as mythology.

Many of the 'old' religions have similar 'myths' which correlate very well with the 'flood'. Can't remember them just now - but there is a book by the pyramid guy which decribes it very well, will have to have a look in my library.

You lot sound like the Spanish Conquistadors who completely - well almost destroyed all the Mayan, Incan South American texts and destroyed their pyramids and built churches over them - very progressive.

Yeah they stole a lot of gold and enslaved the people as well - I guess that's the Roman Catholic Church for you.

Do you mean to say you don't have any religious education in school?

We had it when i was a pupil, pretty sure they still teach it.

That's something that has bothered me too: The Church has apparently bulldozed other religions, yet local customs live on, a trivial example is Halloween. There are more in South America and I'm sure there are other examples.

Such is the nature of "unsane" beliefs: You are convinced you are right and all other religions are wrong, and there is no evidence whatsoever to prove or disprove any of them!

That is why the world is gripped by fear and mistrust and poised on the precipice of disaster:

RELIGION.
