If Someone stands up and says I suffered racism, but doesn’t say by whom and there’s no reproach possible, why the hell should it be believed?
Someone wondered about the colour of the baby? Until two days ago I didn’t even know the woman was bloody black.
Perhaps it was a joke. God only knows.

However, this anti-woke BS is getting on my tits as well. This constant righ ...[text shortened]... sum it all up: royal family, right-wingers, woke people, anti-woke people, they all get on my tits.
Racism is a common experience of non-white people in most Western societies,
though few white people seem willing to accept that could be true.

I’m sure it is.
But somebody claiming it just isn’t enough for me to get judgy about it.

Don’t get me wrong. If I see it happen, I call it out. I’ve fought fascists in anti-fascist demonstrations and I’ve held people accountable for spewing racist and sexist rhetoric on the workfloor.

But just somebody saying something in an interview... not enough to go on.
The royal family should deal with this internally.

Hear, hear!

BUT... should racism, from the casual up to the blatant, just be ignored? Racism is a near-constant threat for non-white people, regardless of how much white people don't want to hear about it.

Hear, hear.

Racism also often expresses itself in micro-aggressions and thoughtless comments.

Here's an example my daughter told me about. Her school teacher was explaining about Australia in geography class. He said that the first people who lived there were the Aborigines, but that mostly "normal people" populate Australia now.

Now, I don't suppose that her school teacher is avowedly racist. Certainly, if one mentioned to him that he's made a thoughtless assumption there, he would probably apologize. But exactly that sort of thoughtlessness is ubiquitous, and you can't spend your whole day micro-listening for these types of occurrences.

The innocent until proven guilty principle may be and is applied to ordinary life just as much as it is in law, and it was in this (ordinary life) context that I was using it. If you lose your pencil and you suspect that someone has taken it, do you automatically assume that they have taken it? I think not, and not a lawyer in sight.

I don't know from where in my post you glean the appearance that I assume anything about your beliefs.

There is no preponderance of evidence regarding racism in this case, since there is no evidence at all. Can we agree therefore that in this case no racism has taken place, unless and until any evidence is available?

Archie does not get the title of Prince because the (rather complex) British constitution does not allow for it, I think since the time of George V; he would make one prince too many and will have to wait until one of the other princes dies before he would even be allowed to take the title. He could be pure white, 1/4 black or 1/4 Martian, it wouldn't make any difference.

I have come to accept that Duchess64 is not mentally stable.

Total Moron🚬
Morgan is an objectionable arse for sure, but I think he is probably close to centre with his observations about Meghan Markle.
