I'm sorry...
The Eagles are nothing but easy-listening songs, with crap lyrics... I may add, for 43 year old men in a mid-life crisis who think that driving around in a desert will solve all their woes.
.
Hitting the Megamillions lottery would solve most my woes, but till then, I can find other ways to enjoy life
Don't be such a depressing cynic all the time :-) (just joking)

Best Band - The Interruptions (My Son's band), closely followed by Pink Floyd
Best Singer ever - Nat King Cole (If you don't agree with that then you are tone deaf)
Best Song - Whole Lotta Rosie by Ac/Dc (Rocks from start to finish with an awesome solo from Angus)
Pink Floyd, defintely highly rated by me, another one of my favorites.

Best singer of all.
Best song in the history of humankind.
Debate!
But Morrisey is a bit of a winging tosser, and he's made a bit of an eejit of himself recently, wittering on about immigrants and then suing when it got published (was it the NME - not sure).
Hand in Glove - wouldn't think that was their best either.

How Soon Is Now is very good, though.
These aren't my personal choices, but I think they should be nominated for mention.
Best Band nomination?
The Who: Roger Daltry as the angry young man with the raging vocals; Pete Townshend, lyricist/guitarist extraordinaire, windmilling on his instrument; the rock operas Tommy and Quadrophenia; their concert at the Charlton Athletic Football Ground, listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as having a sound level of 126 decibels at a distance of 32 meters from the stage.
Best Singer nomination?
Frank Sinatra: Now maybe he didn't have the best singing voice ever, but when it comes to having style, an aura, a stage presence, you have to consider The Chairman, Ole Blue Eyes, the one and only Frank Sinatra. He was leader of the famous Rat Pack, married to stars Mia Farrow and Ava Gardner, winner of Best Supporting Actor in From Here to Eternity, connected as in "sopranos" connected, and friends with President Kennedy. His renditions of the songs "Strangers in the Night," "My Way," and "New York, New York" are absolute classics. In his memory and honor, following Frank's passing, the lights on the Las Vegas Strip were dimmed for the night.
Best Song?
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. 'Nuff said.

Eva Cassidy for a beautiful voice.
Stairway to Heaven for a song that has (nigh on) it all.
A Morrissey (Sp?) song that I do like, though is 'Irish Blood English Heart' -- OK song, slightly suspect message, but an OK song all the same.
