Re Sonhouse diatribe above (I like the tenor of our exchanges better) here is my G20 take on that boorish (did he say dumb? Yeah right) Trump. Do y’all know what ObamA said he’d miss most of his presidency? The airplane! Air Force One. Then there is Bernie, who, if he had the slightest chance to command respect as does Trump, who would ask all of the countries to pool all resources and share equally. Brrrr. Imagine those 2 empty do nothings representing us.
Every leader is watching Trump at G20, walking around the room. What he carries for you and me is American Sensibility. Nobody there can equal his logic, rationale. Yes he needs to work on a few personal matters. Yeah, kind of like our heart surgeon who nobody can stand, but he saves 11 lives a day.

@mghrn55 saidAverageJoe1's metaphors are like when Joe, Billy and Jane go to a party and each of them brings a pineapple. The pineapples are placed next to the punch, but are there one, two or three sixpacks of beer in the fridge? Joe's cousin just got engaged, and before you know it, Hugo Chávez is back from the dead and drinking all that punch. Liberals just don't understand that you shouldn't put pineapple on pizza.

@averagejoe1 saidSounds like how GM screwed over the Pres
They just don’t get economics. Your president sure does, thank God. Stand by as I await response from the guy who loses $50k but wants the government, which is you and me, to make it so he gets a break for making get bad Business decisions. Help me Rhonda
@averagejoe1 saidWould you say that someone who doesn't know what GDP or health insurance are "gets economics"?

@averagejoe1 saidConsidering you think half the US doesnt pay income
They just don’t get economics.
tax I dont think you should be talking about economics!
Go read a little then come back later. (Much later)
Someone who thinks that person A has incurred a debt out of nowhere to person B does not get economics. Is person A responsible to Person B for expenses, a person he’s never heard of? Does person B get to have ‘other people’s money’? Socialism. This is the new normal for liberals. Bernie’s way. Too much to go into and it gives me a headache. I frankly don’t see what the impetus is to change the way things have been for eons. What is the end game?
@averagejoe1 saidIf someone doesn't know what GDP or health insurance are, can you accurately say they "get economics"? Yes or no?

@averagejoe1 saidEven if that were true (source?) 45% is not two quartiles is it?
Wolfgang this stuff is in google, I ain’t that smart. Bottom line is that out of 171.3 million tax units this year, 77.5 million - or 45.3 percent- won’t pay income tax. That is all I am referring to. I guess I can come back to the groupπ¨π¨π§π¦
@wolfgang59 saidIt's not true. The figure relates only to federal income taxes, a specific kind of income tax, and not other types of income taxes like payroll taxes and state income taxes.

@averagejoe1 saidHere are some quotes by Donald J. Trump:
@KazetNagorra No
About GDP:
"The last quarter, it was just announced, our gross domestic product … was below zero. Who ever heard of this? It's never below zero."
About health insurance:
"As they get something, it gets tougher. Because politically, you can’t give it away. So preexisting conditions are a tough deal. Because you are basically saying from the moment the insurance, you’re 21 years old, you start working and you’re paying $12 a year for insurance, and by the time you’re 70, you get a nice plan. Here’s something where you walk up and say, “I want my insurance.” It’s a very tough deal, but it is something that we’re doing a good job of."
