The truth is you just view the data that agrees with your POV. THAT is not thinking for yourself, that is just confirmation bias in action.

Perhaps a good marker of thinking for yourself, is if you learned new things over the last year.

I learned that 80 percent of all covid deaths in the U.S. are people of retirement age.

I also learned that the total number of deaths from COVID of all people younger than 40 is less than 10k.
