President Donald Trump and his legal allies earned a platinum sombrero Friday, striking out five times in a matter of hours in states pivotal to the president’s push to overturn the election results — and losing a sixth in Minnesota for good measure.

And Trump allies' losing streak continued Saturday when the Atlanta-based 11th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected a suit brought by Wood over absentee ballots and recount procedures just hours before the president was scheduled to campaign there ahead of the state's Senate runoffs. The majority opinion was written by Chief Judge William Pryor, who is considered one of the most conservative George W. Bush appointees on the appellate bench.

A Nevada judge issued a point-by-point rejection of every claim lodged by the Trump team, emphasizing that the facts they presented were sparse and unpersuasive. Carson City District Judge James Russell’s opinion repeatedly emphasized their case would not have succeeded “under any standard of proof.”

In one of the most prominent cases — a suit in Georgia brought by controversial lawyers Sidney Powell and Lin Wood — a federal appeals court dismissed an appeal seeking to expand a restraining order a district court judge issued Sunday barring any alterations to voting machines in three Georgia counties. A unanimous three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the appeal without even hearing oral arguments from the litigants.

It was another harsh milestone in a month long run of legal futility, accompanied by sharp rebukes from county, state and federal judges who continue to express shock at the Trump team’s effort to simply scrap the results of an election he lost. Several of the most devastating opinions, both Friday and in recent weeks, have come from conservative judges and, in some federal cases, Trump appointees.

Trump supporters: Do any of you see a pattern here?
Your "stable genius" is lying to you about election fraud! 😳

I'm pretty convinced that you and sonhouse are the two biggest haters in here

nothing but hate dripping out of your threads

I'm not seeing hate. I'm seeing the frustration most people are feeling as a large number of apparently rational people continue to deny reality.

Sorry Earl - I can't change the judges minds. You're just going to have to deal with it.

This isn't about hate.
As a non-American, I see a president who clearly lost and won't give up power.
He probably knows he lost, but then what is he up to ?
Raising obscene amounts of $$ from his supporters without any knowledge what plans he has for that $$ ?
People like Michael Flynn calling for Marshall Law and having a "re-vote" ?
What would that re-vote look like ? No mail-in ballots ?
In the middle of a pandemic that is easily twice as bad as it was Nov 3rd ?
Poll monitors ? Who will they be ?

I remain confident that the US political system is robust enough to withstand this assault on democracy, but damage will have to be repaired.

Forget about hate or no hate of Trump. This guy is a wannabe authoritarian.
I'm not American, never got to vote.
I'm not a shareholder. But I am a stakeholder, just like the rest of the world.
And the world will be happy when this clown show distraction leaves town.
And that's not being said with hate.

The courts always reject election fraud claims in dictatorships with rigged elections. It is the most common thing in the world. It isn't proof of anything unless you have an enormous amount of faith that you live in a democracy.

Apparently you have a lot of faith.

It is all about 2024
Biden will start a war, people will be sick of paying for them and Trump will boast about how he didn't serve the military industrial complex.

If this is a "dictatorship", wouldn't Trump have won these court decisions, since he's the head of this "dictatorship"?

Your posts are nonsensical.

No president is the head of the dictatorship here in the US. They are merely puppets that serve the plutocracy. Trump wasn't an obedient puppet. He was too independent and he had to go. We have term limits in the USA. Puppets have to be rotated.

Election fraud on this scale is usually not necessary. Propaganda is usually enough to get people to vote for who the elites want in office without election fraud.

In fact Trump at very least is a sore loser. His rhetoric is aiming on the working of democracy and lacking any of the demeanor a president should exhibit.

PLUS evidently most Senators of the Republican party which calls itself "grand" have not enough spine to stand up and accept the outcome of the election...this is really sad.

You could have saved yourself and others hundreds of posts here if you had just posted this first.

In other words, you would have never accepted any result as valid except a Trump win.

Okay, so stop saying "dictatorship" and comparing the U.S. to Hussein-era Iraq.

And how wasn't Trump obedient to the wealthy? He gave a $1.3 trillion dollar tax break to the rich, and rolled back scores of limitations against Big Business such as climate-change rules for the fossil fuel industry. Trump is the perfect puppet for a "plutocracy".

This is just more nonsense.
