@Suzianne saidSky News Australia has been 100% owned by Murdoch since about 2016, but still uses the Sky brand to obscure that fact. Its audience is the old Murdoch populist audience and its editors kowtow to Murdoch. They present al, the same distorted right-wing rubbish as Murdoch products everywhere.
Sky News is British. But I'm guessing Aussies have access to most things British.
They are owned by Sky Group, which is a division of Comcast. Comcast is one of the worst internet providers in America. They are entirely in the corporate model. Profits are okay, but obscene profits are better.
I'd still like to know if Fox is available in other countries, as CNN is.
Australia is lucky to have an independent government funded ABC news corporation whose charter insists on impartiality and balanced reporting. This exposes it to right-wing attackers claiming it as leftist because Murdoch devotees don't accept the concept of equal time.
There's another independent government funded news corporation, SBS, with a similar impartiality charter, which specialises in minority stuff like foreign-language news and material from countries other than English-speaking ones. Both of those also rebroadcast programs from our First Nations channel NITV.
We still have 3 major commercially-owned channel networks, one of which is Murdoch-owned.

@Very-Rusty saidI have not been defending anyone but merely pointing out the obvious, how the hate towards him is practically a mental disorder, you and others here cannot help but be insulting. It pours out of you with every sentence!
It is not quite the same Trump is not the President or Vice President of the United States. Kamala Harris is Vice President and he is still calling her "Crazy Kamala", my question is, how can you defend someone like that?

@KellyJay saidTo be honest I get my news through comedians mostly. Jon Stewart on a Monday; Stephen Colbert - Monologue and Meanwhile; Seth Myers- A Closer Look; John Oliver-Last Week Tonight.
So I ask you, do you hold those you listen to, to the same standards as those you don’t? Where you get your news the same question?
So basically YouTube clips. And rounding out with dedicated political channels like Brian Taylor Green.
If all my sources are on the same page I investigate the original source. If everyone is making a gotcha moment out of something Trump said for example, I will find what he said in context by listening to the rally and seeing if they are reporting accurately.
Then I will flip the script and listen to Gutfeld and Bartiromo and Hannity and Ingraham to get a sense of how the "other side" think.
And that's about it.

@KellyJay said“Hate”
If you watch hate Trump news you think that matters? The trouble with your argument is that it cuts both ways, if we are not looking at each of the politicians with the same critical eye on a level playing field we can be hoodwinked, and if we have an auto-hate reaction as soon as a name is mentioned, that should clue you in on something bad is happening!! I don't care if y ...[text shortened]... e should instead we only get, see they are bad over and over again no matter what we are looking at.

IFlames generated through being told who to hate, if we lose critical thinking, if we lose knowledge about history, we have nothing to judge with, we will accept what we are told without question. If you get people to hate someone, then everything they see about them will be just another excuse to hate them more!

@KellyJay saidBut you ARE a Trump supporter KellyJay!
It also isn't my fault that if I don't display the same anti-Trump hate you guys are always displaying I'm counted as one of his supporters.
What on Earth do you mean by “it isn’t your fault if you don’t display the same anti-Trump hate”?
You ARE a Trump supporter!
@KellyJay saidLOL@ Metal Disorder, you are the one who is brainwashed and protecting someone who there really is no protection for. Where were you during the insurrection when they tried to stop the transfer of power, did you miss all that? Perhaps check you may have a mental disorder yourself, of course you'd not know if you did. 🙂
