I think you are confusing the people who have a total disregard for human life. It is almost certainly not American soldiers, but more likely those who detonate suicide bombs in heavily crowded markets.

They are just as bad as these terrorists they are waging their little war on, only they have better bombs.

When Turkey or Switzerland interned belligerents during WWII, neither side made any attempts on those persons because they were "out for the war".
The US is at war with al-Quaida. Therefore:
"A neutral state may not give armed assistance to any belligerent, or lend money, or guarantee a loan to either side, or permit its territory to become a b ...[text shortened]... can bluster all they want, but Syria is in the wrong. So is Pakistan for the same reason.
I think these kind of 'incidents' turn people against USA, rather than fighting terrorists together with USA.
If you are against USA (of the reason mentionned earlier) then you are pro the enemies of USA.
So the people in this place tend to support alQuaida after an incident like this.
Killing innocent people tends to make people angry. Against whom? The bad guys. Who are the bad guys? Good question.

Hence their tendency to treat their 'hosts' as ungrateful children.

Dead children.
Christ no!
ANYONE who kills innocent civilians is despicable.
No-one would 'take al-Qaeda's side' as some kind of moral high ground...
Originally posted by tomtom232That's total BS. If they are going to kill us, we have the right to kill them. It is as simple as that.
The US has not declared war therefore they cannot go attacking anybody they want do no good reason other than a country is supplying a faction, whom the US is not even at war with, with needed items!
Originally posted by EladarActually, it isn't that simple. By your logic, if a Canadian went into Detroit and killed someone, bear in mind that this person is just a citizen, not a solder, we could then launch a Special Forces attack into Canada. Do you think that this is accurate?
