using the muddled logic of your "simple as I can" metaphor, BushCo has ignored the fact that you're still at work and is telling people that you're driving home fast.
so where are you, you little metaphorical Iran?

The very same people that have insulted U.S. Intelligence every time they have gotten a chance are now going to accept this piece of U.S. Intelligence as fact simply because they can interpret it in a way that they think supports their position. It must be nice to go through life without principles.
Gee, I wonder what could have happened in 2003 that made Iran decide to hold off on developement?
If we weren't paranoid before we should be now!
Run to the hills I tells ya!!11!!!1!
(bomb Iran first though - better to be safe than sorry) 😉

Vann Van Diepen, one of the estimate's main authors, has spent the last five years trying to get America to accept Iran's right to enrich uranium.
So now we've got one of the three main authors that, with absolutely no expertise in the ME, who lied to Congress in the middle of wwriting the report and another who's beliefs are clearly opposite of that of the administration and most of America.
The third is Brill who was formerly the US ambassador to the IAEA and never did much of anything while there.

Rival contender Senator Barack Obama said that Mr Bush "will not let facts get in the way of his ideology... and that's been the problem with their [the Republicans] foreign policy generally."

Does the current American administration have any credibility left at all?

How could anyone think that Iran would not want a Nuclear Weapon. They're only surrounded on all side by nations with such weapons. You've got to be eating cuckoo for Coco Puffs for breakfast.

the media still presents Bush as "credible"- The White House is spinning the NIE as, [big surprise] confirmation that Iran is a threat. The Bush admin says: NIE says Iran wants nukes, a confirmation of everything Bush has been saying all along [despite the Fact that the report says Iran gave up nuclear weapon progress 5 years ago]. This administration ...[text shortened]... the ball here: bush, cheney and all involved are dredging the desperate depths of insanity.

Bush was preparing to go to war based on information he was being “given” that Iran was trying to make a nuclear weapon. Then his agency’s released a report saying they weren’t. So was Bush lying or did his agency all of a sudden change its mind?

Originally posted by EsotericSo, what is the argument i fail to see. Be specific. I believe you were trying to say that bush wants to go to war with IRAN because he says Iran is building a nuclear weapon, even though his "AGENCY" says Iran is not building such a weapon. Who cares who's lying? The Fact is that IRAN IS trying to build a nuclear weapon. You even agree they want one. Unfortunatly their facilities will have to be taken out. Case closed.
