This just vindicates eugenicist's reason to keep people from breeding.
If you are stupid enough to think you have a chance to win a vaccine lottery you should be human guinea pigs and sterilized.

These "vaccine lotteries" are extensions of State lotteries which give out billions of dollars of prize money each year.

Somebody would have to figure out the projected number of people in the lottery to figure out the expected value of each ticket to determine whether people are behaving rationally.

Though I don't subscribe to MB's hyperbole, I also think people who are willing to get the vaccine that they otherwise would not have gotten for an incentive with a microscopic expected value are behaving illogically.

I don't personally understand why people value a lotto ticket with an expected value of $1 more than they value $2 (maybe it's fun to gamble?), but there does seem to be something about human nature that causes people to do this.

You're getting a chance, admittedly a small one, for substantial monetary gain at no cost to you.

What is "illogical" about that?

Would those same people get vaccinated for a dollar or two?

But what do you believe should happen to someone who is stupid enough to not take advantage of a free vaccine during a pandemic?

(Shrug) Ohio saw a 28% increase in vaccinations after it announced its 5 $1 million drawings for those vaccinated: https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/05/20/us/covid-vaccine-lottery-new-york-maryland-ohio/index.html

Might as well take a shot at the cash since Bill Gates, the Rockefeller and Henry Kissinger are out to kill you.

..and it is still stupid. At least free beer is something tangible. That is a better deal.

You mean preventing you from breeding. Check your sperm count if you dare.

$5 million is pretty "tangible".

We spend countless hours online debating a tiny set strangers in hopes of changing someone's mind. That has virtually no chance of changing anything in the world, yet here we are. Fortunately for me, I'm done reproducing just in case someone decides we need to be sterilized.

Some people read the insert of the vaccines and some don't.
The warning of possible infertility is listed on the insert.
Read the insert yourself.

Seems tangential, but sure, I'll waste more time I could be doing something else...

I hope I stay anonymous, because I don't want the authorities to find out I'm wasting this kind of time, lest they come for me.

At one time in my life, I had a surgery that carried a risk of death of was around 0.01%. Was it worth the risk? One can debate that point. But what one cannot do is say for certain it was NOT worth the risk without doing some risk analysis.

Here's the fact sheet I was handed before I was given the Pfizer vaccine: https://www.fda.gov/media/144414/download

I don't see anything about "infertility".

EDIT: “There is absolutely no evidence that vaccines, and in particular the COVID-19 vaccines, impact fertility,” said Dr. Jill Rabin, an OB-GYN and professor at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in Manhasset, New York." https://www.healthline.com/health-news/[WORD TOO LONG]
