So we live in a world where the rich get richer and the poor stay poor.
So... would you agree that each individual could only make a certain amount of money?
If so...how much?

Once they reach the limit where would you put that extra money?

A billionaire is someone who has a million dollars 1000 times.
What can they buy that a regular millionaire can't?

I think ...[text shortened]... ne time.

Not 30 million a year that you build up.

30 million total wealth cannot be surpassed.
Yall can get a good feel of Musty’s logic on the last few posts of Jar Your Preserves thread. Absolutely mind boggling. $30M would not even buy a house at Palm Beach. Silly boy.

Question: what would you call this newly created conception of an economy? It would be a major restructuring.

@AverageJoe1

Is a house in Palm Beach necessary to be comfortable and wealthy?

Nope

A toilet is still a toilet Joe.
A rich man's toilet is the same as mine.

Those expensive items are only expensive if people will pay.
If not...they become worthless overnight.

If nobody buys those houses then they become worthless.

No restructuring needed.

Once you make 30 million you're done.

Don't like that? Don't try then.

Somebody else will go after that 30 million.

Yall read the final para above and then the last 2 sentences. (See his original full post, on page 1, here it is shortened)
I fear we joust with a child. Maybe he means well, but even Marauder is not that far off the wall.
A wealth limit? How bout an age limit. Yall have at it. Whew.

@AverageJoe1

I also think an age limit is appropriate too.

Like a modern "Attestupa" 🤔

There are less than 3,000 Billionaire's is the WORLD of 8 Billion people. You could probably take their entire cumulative wealth and give everyone in the world a couple thousand dollars...Have you ever heard of a Bell Curve?

Gulp...I shouldn't ask this, but...I got to... 😳

Uh, Musty...what age do you think would be appropriate? (Please oh please say 25 years older than I currently am...)

How do ya like that...I've worked since I was 12. Full time since 17. Paid social security all those years. Now, 3 years before retirement Musty becomes Age Czar and I'm kilt off a year before drawing a dime...

I have a granddaughter that is gonna put up a hell of a fight when they come to get her Papa, I can tell you that for sure. 😠

The rules is the rules...I didn't write them.

So can I have your golf clubs? You won't be needing them 😉

The point is are opportunities to make money are unavailable to them?
Quite often so.

Do you think people choose to live in dire poverty?

If I had any you could. That's a game I never got into. I found out I could throw a golf club further than I could hit a golf ball.

I can leave you a well-worn canoe!

I'm not promoting the taking of people's money and spreading it out in a modern day scenario.

I'm just saying a wealth cap would prevent excessive greed and also let other people enjoy the wealth...or try to.

There are over 51 million people who are millionaires.
3000 billionaires.

Put in place a wealth cap and greed is eliminated.
