Been asked to speak to a class, where the teacher is really keyed-up to prepare them for life. Any practical messages?

@AverageJoe1 saidDo not focus on the immediate pleasures in life, instead always look at now as training to do better going forward. Apply yourself to excellence even in the little mundane things in life it will permeate into all you do, do this when you are in a crowd but more importantly when no one can see or will know. That will fashion you into someone others can trust and rely on in life no matter what you do. Do all things as unto the lord who sees in secret when He is the only one who will know, it will change your outlook on all you put your hands to.

@KellyJay saidKelly, I like this and will make it a controlling concept to the practical discussion that I have in mind. A very studied approach, though I don't think you had to study it at all. I also indirectly got the lib input a week ago when they were all about 'money', which I had to explain is only a tool, a measuring device. I hope I can get that through to them as well, as l go into investing. Do I dare tell them that market always goes up in the long run?? (From about 900 to 40,000 so far). Because, if dems take over the 3 branches, it may be the end of that era.

@AverageJoe1 saidI got a hospital bill once Jun 3rd said our insurance paid 110k we still owed 105k please pay by Jun 30. I was only working a part time job at the time, I thought I will write you a check. They hadn’t billed the insurance company yet but I know no matter how much you make it can go away fast. My mom told us that if money can fix it, it is not a real problem, those are the types of problems, it doesn’t matter how much you have.

I am not sure about the exact amount but those are ball park numbers, we kept the bill.
@KellyJay
Sounds like a really crappy insurance company, even vanilla Medicare pays 80% and that 200 thou cost would say you pay 40K not near three times that.
What kind of insurance was it? My wife has medicare and AARP suplimental, about 350 bucks a month total for both and they cover more like 99% of the bill.
One thing about it, thought, Biden got medical bills off credit reports so owing medical bills does not effect your credit rating.
For you however, it doesn't matter WHAT Biden passes in the way of bills helping the common folk, he is always wrong and your orange blob is always right.
@sonhouse saidOver 30 years ago and they took care of it, I believe the amount when it was all said and done was a huge amount of money much more than this 200k. Her issues they told us they couldn’t go to a book to see what to with her, they were writing the book with her. She was unique!

@sonhouse saidSonhouse, Sonhouse……. See your 3rd paragraph. You are a disingenuous person, crooked like Biden, to be in favor of manipulating credit reports, which fools creditors into making loans to people whose debts are hidden ( by you and Biden).

People like you will flood the lending market with falsified credit reports. Bad form.
You recently gave Trump hell for his ‘falsifying’ his financial status on a loan app.
Please respond to this or I will open a thread on it.
@sonhouse saidYou say ‘Biden helps the common folk’ by aiding and abetting false credit reports. Teaching them to be crooked, like he and his son.
