If a child is kicking on my leg, do I kill him? No.
If a child is kicking on my leg, do I kill him along with his family and friends? No.
What do I do? I go away from him. But kill him? Never. Why? Because I'm a civilized guy.

I very much doubt Canada or Mexico will be firing rockets at the USA anytime soon. (I'm also not sure if they have any). So let's not worry about it..OK? 😏

You left out the American concentration camps for Japanese-Americans during WWII -- notably Manzanar. Nobody is immune to this sort of stupidity -- not Jews, not Americans, not Arabs.

The job of the rest of us is to refuse to let ideologies, national agendas, and cultural bias lead us around by the nose and recognize injustice for what it is -- no matter who is doing it.

If they did, the US would take them out as of yesterday. Don't believe me? Islamo-facists attacked three buildings in the US during 9/11 and the response was to out two countries in the Middle East. However, in the case of Israel they must sit there and take it or else!!

If USA build walls against Mexico well inside (and I mean miles and miles), even surrounding Tihuana and other US interesting sites, Mexico wouldn't be happy.
If USA occupied territories within Mexico, and to keep the occupied Mexico territories went in with bulldozers, ruined Maxican homes, preparing settler sites in the most attractive areas, Mexico wouldn't be happy.
If, when Mexico complaied, USA moved Mexicans out of their villages, and put them in camps with barbed wires around, Mexico wouldn't be happy.
If Mexicans persisted with their complaints, the USA continued with air raiding, killing not only those who complains but also their families and neighbours, Mexico wouldn't be happy.
At some point in time Mexico would send in people into USA to demonstrate their anger, perhaps retaliate, and perhaps even send in missile over US land. And then USA would send in full power militaries into Mexico to finishe them off.

Do this resembles anything happening right now, far away from USA, but still supported by USA?

Tirades?

You're hijacking the term not me. It's a German invention where people were sent to work themselves to death. When that didn't kill them fast enough they used gas and the oven.

This is so obviously his attempt at utilizing the nazi association against Israel in the most basic form of "look, now they're doing the same thing" when this has got nothing to do with concentration camps/racial superiority.

Please show me the British equivalent of Aushchwirtz or Birkenau. I don't agree with Guantanamo Bay but calling it a concentration camp is completely innaccurate.

You really think blaming Israel for turning Gaza into a "concentration camp" shows faithful friendship towards Israel?

Concentration camps, a German invention? Wrong. I know you feel very strongly about all this but it is interfering with the fact that facts are facts. So I was right. You are intent on defining concentration camps in a very specific and self serving way. spruce112358's characterization of Gaza as one big concentration camp helps us to put Israel's actions over the last 10 days into a context that you seek to simply sweep away with the sheer velocity of your vitriol.

Do I really think spruce112358's pointing out that Israel has turned Gaza into a "concentration camp" shows his faithful friendship towards Israel? Yes. Of course I do. It takes integrity to tell the truth about what has happened and what is happening. Isreal is making a terrible mistake. The current action will not achieve the aim that Israeli politicians claim for it. Hamas missile raids on Sderot and other towns could be stopped militarily only if Israel permanently reoccupied the Gaza strip from end to end with tens of thousands of troops. This is impossible.

Israel’s supporters should ask themselves this simple question: What do the leaders of Hamas hope to achieve by firing rockets at Israel? The answer, quite obviously, is that they wish to provoke Israel into just this sort of futile, self-damaging retaliation that we are witnessing now. What Israel really needs to do, which is to persuade the Arab states and peoples to accept that Israel truly does have a right to exist, will not be solved by this sort of thing. In fact, it will be made much harder.

Spruce112358 knows this (although he might disagree with the exact way I have put it or the emphasis I am placing) and you - Dude of 84 - don't. He is thus more of a "friend" to Israel than you are, because your shrill partisanship is disguising the fact that Israel is hurting itself right now.

Even many of its staunch, staunch, staunch supporters are saying so. In fact, many genuine friends of Israel, people concerned for its future, can quite plainly see that the operation’s real purpose is to improve the standing of two politicians, Tzipi Livni and Ehud Barak, in impending elections. Nobody should die for such a motive. And you should know better than to be a cheerleader for this kind of typically noxious "domestic" Israeli politics. I've been watching this 'Israeli election cycle' thing going on for about 20 years longer than you. No honest commentators dispute it.

Hamas does not appear to mind if the civilians of Gaza suffer, provided their suffering can be used to weaken Israel’s alliance with the USA and Europe. And let's not forget that Hamas is the elected bastard child of Israeli intransigence and systematic cruelty. Now, its attack on Gaza, like its 2006 attack on Lebanon, allows Israel to be portrayed as the big bully, and the venal, hypocritical, profoundly undemocratic oil-rich Arab world gets to portray itself as the victim. But Israel is largely to blame, by allowing itself to stumble into trap after trap of this kind.

So, for all your swirling, emotional, contorted, but undoubtedly sincere paroxysms of proudly lopsided rancour on this forum, you are - in pragmatic terms - being no friend to Israel at the moment, while spruce112358 is.

Darling, you need a serious dose of a very strong laxative, or you need to Get a Life.

Apparently Get A Life will be marketed as a laxative in the Northern Hemisphere this spring. Look out for it. The brown and puce packaging really captures the whole experience I think.
