My point is that based on your posts, I doubt you'd be as sympathetic toward any nation pummeled by China, if China was defending itself against an aggressor.

The details don't matter because the point was to get you to imagine China in a similar situation. The country could be Nepal, it doesn't matter. Imagine Nepal launched rockets into China, continuously, after nearly over 30 years; would you blame China for responding to Nepal like Israel did with Gaza?

What would be an appropriate retaliation from Israel, in your view? What would you deem to be an appropriate use of force in response to Hamas sending rockets?

Here is what people want. Since more than 95% of Hamas rockets are failures because of Israels advance defense system, for it to be fair, Israel must fire 1 rocket for every 20 Hamas rockets. But wait, Hamas is firing blindly [like fools], whereas Israel pinpoints the target and takes it out. so the 20 to 1 is till not fair. Its more like 30 to 1. Wait, Hamas hides behind kids and civilians so 30 Hamas rockets does little or no damage compared to 1 Israeli rocket. So its more like 50 to 1 would be fair... and thats the ratio of deaths as well.

you infer that since Israel has a weapons advantage, they deserve people's support.
this is not a football game, rajk. America's kill ratio in vietnam was 20:1. Who won the war?

The Gaza-based Hamas movement said its actions were a response to the Israeli policy of forced displacement of Palestinians in occupied East Jerusalem and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli forces last week, followed by Israel missing a Hamas deadline to withdraw its forces from the mosque compound.

Someone is saying that Hamas said that. That is different from Hamas coming out and saying that for themselves. So far I can find nowhere Hames said that.
