This is all packaged in Item #3 in my post, and it is a false equivalency.
Now that you've repeated the same talking points I and created a post I could have written on your behalf, I am now convinced.
I just needed to hear the same thing repeated one more time before I could count it as a proof.

Of course, it was blown out of proportion by Democrats. Amplified to score political points. The comparison to "the other side" here might be Benghazi. Both were real things that actually happened, but not as big as the Republicans or Democrats wanted them to be. We did not need 50 different investigations on Benghazi.
Meanwhile Trump's administration purposefully lied about the severity of COVID to score political points. We can hear him admitting to Bob Woodward that he lied to Americans. There are numerous examples where he contradicted his own medical experts with factually inaccurate information (i.e. a lie).
These lies about COVID? It's going to disappear, numbers are getting better, children are immune, its caused by Mexicans. Meanwhile schools were closed, people were forced to work from home, everything was closed down. Yet the president was telling us everything is fine? The disconnect between White house and all other government officials fomented fear and resentment. Blame everyone except me is no way to lead. Can you not see that these lies were waaaaaaaay more severe than lies about Benghazi or Russia?
