Driving a car with a small engine, one thing that irritates me is when I get driver in front of me, who are obviously wanting to go slower (fine in ltself), yet making it harder than it needs to be to get past. Despite not being the slowest driver around, nor the quickest, I don't ever have huge queues behind me (a slight lie, doing 31mph in a 30mph zone and they'll soon get in line). You can make it easier for people to pass.
Got caught behind one huy doing barely 30mph up through the Peak, and he had a large queue behind him. So naturally on the first really long and clear straight section, I pulled out to pass. Put my foot down, indicated, pulled out and found him suddenly doing 60+. Not polite, up a little by all means, but just let everyone past.
When on dual carriageways/motorways I do like to leave a decent gap between me and the car in front, so I do seem to get quite a few people pulling out in front of me. Fine, but please don't do it when you're a lot slower than me. My brakes are good, but I shouldn't have to slam them on.
Incidentally, I'd always take tailgaiting to be driving dangerously close to someone in front, i.e. a couple of meters, you can be too close without it being quite so much of a problem, but that isn't (to my mind) tailgaiting.
Also for those type of roads, if you join them, and someone pulls out as your coming onto the road, go a little slower if needs be, it isn't nice to find yourself running side by side with them.
People who don't indicate properly. One thing I failed my first test on, and it does irritate me in other drivers. I'm perfectly OK with it now.

So whats your worse complaint about drivers on your commute if you
drive to work?
One of mine is Stupid Ugly Vehicles nosing their way in front of me
even if there is only about 20 feet between me and the one in front
and we are doing 80 MPH.
