First of all, very few people hate Donald Trump. The feeling he arouses in people who oppose him is not hate, but contempt or derision.
Secondly, Trump is a pathological liar. He has not been honest with the American people for twenty minutes at a stretch.
Third, business is not government and it is a bad idea to put businessmen in charge of government. In business, there is nothing wrong with having your daughter or son-in-law negotiate deals with business partners, and there is nothing wrong with handing out product promotions to your friends. In government, this is called graft and corruption and just plain stupidity.
Fourth, Trump is the one who keeps asking why people don't like him. Politicians shouldn't be so vain. It's never about being likeable or nice. It's about doing what is lawful and in the interests of the common good. Trump has done very little of either, and a lot of neither.
