An enduring memory from 40 (ish) years ago is seeing the Jam live at Bracknell sports centre in 1980.

Nope. You were not listening to that as 1980 approached its end.

I just looked up a list of 1980’s hits and couldn’t fathom why I didn’t connect with any on them? Then realised that I started Art College that year so must have lost interest in watching the TV and visiting pubs.

I was a bit surprised with a thumbs down for Paul McCartney.

Still 7 thumbs up and 3 down are pretty good. Olivia Newton-John was a heart throb back in the day.

Captain & Tennille people either loved or hated. I could take them or leave them personally.

I was just showing what the top 10 were in 1980.

That is a classic, Rusty. Well done!

Presume it is the Canadian top ten?

'Coming Up' was a fairly awful McCartney song, as Wings suddenly ran out of inspiration after a great run in the mid 70s

Our Radio stations did play all those at the time. Mind you not all favorite's of mine.

I couldn't tell you if they were the Canadian top ten.

I somehow think probably not though.

The Beatles were very big over here in Canada, sold out every where they went
