I am so sorry to hear this.
I will be praying.
Please tell Dave I am thinking of him.
He loves this site, and this site loves him.
We exchanged a few view points, but Dave always had my friendship
and respect and always will.We believe in the same things, our
differences were only about how we achieved those things.
Please keep us informed, and Both you and Dave have my e-mail
address if I can help, please contact me.
I hope Dave is soon over this, and I look forward to his return.
Lyn.
To Dave,
My friend and companion from great and enjoyable games, my best
wishes to get past from this crisis in good health.
Remember that your chess "family" is allways waiting for you, in the
good or bad times, even when there is "trouble in the air", in the best
families there are also, this means that we care our chessfriends.
Allways at your service...
look forward to your return.
Even I dont pray much, tonight my thoughts will be to you my friend.
Dave, God's peace be with you. A few words of encouragement from a
rabbi: "I know when most people think about sin, they think in terms
of the abuse ore neglect of power and, of course, that's part of the
story. But to us Jews, the deepest dimension of sin is despair. It is
embracing that kind of hopelessness that cuts one off fromt he kinds
of energies that can make a difference in any istuation. Therefore, I
don't think there is anything about our present situation that should
be regarded with despair. As difficult as it is, there is always a reason
to hope." I will look for your address somewhere back there in my
archives and try to send you some "elixer" of the BBQ variety.
Symbolic of improvement, but with patience. Kirk
I meant every word I said in the email Dave.
I don't like posting very personal messages in a public forum, so the
following (which was done in 10 minutes and I know doesn't flow) isn't
just to Dave. It kinda only works if you read it quite slowly.
I guess it's probably to me more than anyone.
Be Not Afraid, by The Squirrel Lover
"Be not afraid to ask for help
or a hand to lift you upon your way
Be not afraid to wake on the 'morrow
for tomorrow's another day
Be not afraid to walk on tall
despite having now been felled
Be not afraid to weep a thousand tears
back they cannot be held
For in the gloom that comes
as life delivers her fateful blow
Look around and see those beside you
those that care for you ever so,
For without dear friends we are lonely
and without love our lives be bleak
For love is the vehicle that guides us
to the true happiness that we seek"
Hang in there Dave. Good luck.
Mark
