my paranoia:

after going to the dentist and having a couple fillings and the dentist says "you can eat straight away", i think that he's trying to get me to eat to ruin the brand new fillings so he can make more money next time i come back for a check up.

The frustrating part is when there's a scene he wants to play again and again, but it's too short to 'conclude his act', so he has to coordinate one hand on the Rewind/Play buttons and the other one on the 'business'.

Don't know that that's paranoia. Not so far fetched really, considering some dentists purposely grind off the protective enamel of your teeth, to create future income security.
