Technically, no.

One football is a game where people hit the ball with their foot, and the other they pick it up with their hand.....opposites of sorts 😛

Well, the do pick it up, but they also punt it and they kick field goals and extra points off the ground. Your point is taken that the majority of the time it isn't played with the foot.

*EDIT* And in soccer they hit it with their chests and head as well as their feet.

In the other football (the one played with a ball and feet = hence Foot ball), they sometimes pick the ball up too, for shys, the goalkeeper picks it up, and Argentinian strikers can use it to win football matches 😛
