You started this thread in the hopes of being able to point out the fact that they are genetic freaks of nature didn't you?

I just looked up "red hair" on Wikipedia and found to my chagrin that "ginger" is a derogatory term. Discrimination and derogation on the basis of hair colour is not only immoral, it's laughably stupid. People are fk'ed sometimes.

Please paste us the direct quote from wiki that makes you think it's a derogatory term.

So, it's not okay to tease about color, but it is okay to tease about quantity.

Why?

Umm, OK:

"In modern-day UK and Ireland, despite being the places with the highest populations of redheads, the word "ginger", pronounced /gɪ.ŋə(&#633πŸ˜‰/[citation needed] as opposed to the standard pronunciation /'dʒɪn.dʒə(&#633πŸ˜‰/) is derogatorily used to describe red headed people, with terms such as "gingerphobia" (fear of redheads)[39] or "gingerism" (prejudice against redheads)[40] used by the media."

What? What quantity? Are you talking about making fun of fat people?

Yes. Fat and bald, or fat and hairy people. You can tease about the fat, but why tease about the hair?

First off, they say it's in HOW you say it... also, they need a citation.

No one said any kind of teasing was right. I suppose many people view being fat as being a "life choice", which is undoubtedly not the whole story, so they feel free to criticize. Bald people (especially those with a fringe) get made fun of all the time. What's your point?

Are you special or something? The word "black" seems to have the same problem. And since when does referencing a source like the BBC detract from the weight of the argument?
